Summertime and the living is easy. But why let it be so easy? Get out there and sweat! Summer, while the weather is nice, is the perfect time to go outside and run, jog, walk or do whatever else you need your legs for. You’ll burn calories, release some endorphins and maybe, just maybe, feel like you are in a shape other than vaguely potato-like. To that end, fitness monitors have become a mainstay of the wearable technology industry. We sure do cover them a whole lot, in any event. If you keep reading, and we hope you will, you’ll find all about yet another vitality tracker on the market.
Under Armour, who are mostly known for making workout clothes and the like, have produced their very own fitness tracker. They are calling it the Armour39, the number standing for the amount of calories you’ll burn while taking a short walk while wearing it. OK, just kidding about that last part. This chest-band/watch combo comes with all of the usual bells and whistles, the ability to track the amount you’ve traveled, your heart rate and calories burned. It also comes with an affiliated smartphone or tablet app that you can lustfully stare at this information in chart-form. In short, it’s a fitness tracker.
The only downside here is, as of this writing, the hardware only works with iOS devices. This cuts off a significant part of the market, although we are hopeful the company will rectify this mistake shortly. The Armour39 is available now so jog yourself to your favorite website and pick one up. Here is a video of the tracker in glorious action.
