In case you hadn’t noticed, we are currently in the thick of summer. The air is melty and you don’t know where the inside of your apartment ends and the inside of your armpit begins. It’s the perfect time of year for ice cream, poolside lounging and, well, exercise. You see, summer is bikini(or dude’s swimsuit) season. If you are lounging poolside drinking a mai tai, you don’t want to look like a three day old plate of mashed potatoes. You want to look your best and Motorola is doing their best to help you get there.
The Motorola MOTOACTV line of devices, which we wrote about here, are essentially lightweight arm bands that help you keep track of and get motivated for exercise. Think Nike+ but with the ability to slip them snugly into watchbands. Â They also track your distance traveled, have an embedded GPS and play music via a Bluetooth connection. Pretty much your all-in-one jog/run package. The one thing they had that was holding them back? A fairly steep asking price. Well the big M is lessening that pain with the announcement that the entire line is going down a full $100 in price. Not bad!
You’ll now just pay $149.99 for the 8GB model, $199.99 for the 16GB version and $299.99 for the Multi-Sport Edition. The mathematically inclined among you will notice that this is across the board $100 cheaper than these puppies were just yesterday. So what are you waiting for? Your body aint getting any younger!
