Another CES 2014 offering, Razer has announced the Nabu which is aimed at challenging the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Gear as well as devices like the newly announced Lifeband Touch and fitness devices like the Nike Fuelband SE.

The first thing to notice about the Nabu is that it features two screens. One of those is the easy to view notifications screen, and the other being a little more private messaging screen. The notifications screen has a resolution of 32 x 32 pixels, and the messaging screen a resolution of 128 x 32 pixels.

The device also features Bluetooth 4.0, or the power saving version of Bluetooth, and has a suggested battery life of up to 7 days. Not only that, but the device features an accelerometer, altimeter and cylindrical vibration motor. While the device isn’t completely waterproof, you shouldn’t have any problems with rain and a few splashes here and there.

There current price of the device is $49 for the developer version, and while we don’t know the exact release date of the device, we do know that it will be released in the first quarter of this year. Whether it will actually have an impact on sales of devices like the Galaxy Gear is yet to be seen.
