Liquid Image has recently announced a whole line of camera equipped head gear for winter and water sports. Â The new line of products will feature camera-equipped ski masks, swimming goggles and scuba masks. Liquid Image is revealing the new products at this years CES 2010.
The Liquid Image Summit Series is the world’s first snow goggle with an integrated digital camera. Â The Summit Series Snow Camera Goggle 335 integrates a 5 megapixel still camera / video camera capable of shooting 720 x 480 resolution video at 30 frames a second with audio. The camera has 16MB of built-in flash memory which is expandable to 16GB via a microSD / SDHC slot. The snow goggles include large side buttons which are easy to press while wearing ski-gloves. The snow goggles also include an inside light which lights up when recording. The goggles should be capable of taking 2,200 still images or record over 2 hours of video per charge on their lithium ion battery.
Unfortunately we won’t be seeing these bad boys this winter season. Â Liquid Image doesn’t expect to ship the Summit Series goggles until late summer of 2010. The Summit Series Goggles will be priced at an affordable $149.
