I’d rate a 4.9 stars so I rounded to 5. Basically a hard hat with a simulated leather cover with nice trim & padded interior but really well made and just the style I like. I ride a ebike so no need for DOT approved and wanted something simple, light yet effective that looked great. Super comfortable. The only flaw for me is the left ear strap obstructs over the bottom of my ear a little. I’d suggest lengthen the ear opening a little to completely clear the ear. Right ear is fine with adjusting strap. One other potential flaw is the strap buckle lever is plastic and vulnerable to breaking, but we’ll see how it holds up. Very satisfied otherwise.

As a result, the helmet is too small for me and my wife is going to try it. If the helmet is too big for her we will send it back.

This was a gift for my grandaughter, the Amazon ad said DOT Cert. however there is no DOT sticker or markings of any kind in or on the helmet

Ordered this thinking it would be a good looking helmet, not! Total trash. All it took was one look to send it back. Very uncomfortable and ugly.

At 60, I felt I needed some protection while roller-blading and the common helmets look so dorky. This unit is sold enough for skating. Can be worn arsy-versy. For even scootering, I would suggest something that is designed for 40Mph impact.
