This Lite version of the Bip (which I owned for about a year and a half before the screen fell out – I glued it back in but wanted another that retains its water resistance) – if you haven’t seen the differences, you’re getting a couple of new colors, better water resistance (splash vs swimming) in exchange for the lack of GPS. I personally rarely use the GPS, and the Bip Lite can still be tethered to use your phone for walks/runs.The Lite really has everything except GPS that the original has, so go read reviews of that for context. For me, the always-on, highly visible screen (especially outdoors) and 6-WEEK battery life mean I can’t really complain about the lack of smartwatch features (like lack of music controls without a third party app, or SMS replies). The only thing that sucks about it is the MiFit app to control it – it takes some hacking to use custom watchfaces or a bigger bold easy-to-read font. If it weren’t for the app, I’d have no real complaints, especially for the price. It’s a terrific value and very good product for what it is.

I got this watch mostly for its ability to monitor a heart rate and to last on a single charge for up to 45 days (according to the manufacturer). The watch failed in both.Pros:• Beautiful design. Looks like an Apple watch.• Lightweight. Super light and super comfortable. You’ll forget you’re wearing it.• Always on display is a big plus (although the watch faces selection is abysmal and looks like was designed by a 10 year-old in the 80’s).Cons:• Heart rate monitor is more like a roulette game. You get random numbers that most of the time have nothing to do with your actual heart rate. I confirmed it by the manual count and by using a pulse oximeter (see pictures). The difference can be 40-60 BPM! So if you need a reliable HR monitor look somewhere else.• Amazfit promises Bip Lite to last “up to 45 days on a single 2.5-hour charge”. In reality it lasted less than 3 days!!! (see the screenshot). Now I understand that all companies make exaggerated claims re the days the charge lasts and I wouldn’t mind if it was 40 or 30 days. Heck, I’ll even take 20 days! But 3 ????!! Bear in mind that I didn’t use it to monitor any exercises. I also didn’t use it to check texts or incoming calls notifications. Or any notifications, messages, alarms whatsoever. Nothing except monitoring my HR. So 45 days is a total deception.I can’t speak about the pedometer or calories count as I have no other watch to compare the numbers to and also I didn’t really care for it.To sum up: if you want a reliable smart watch this is not it. I wish the company was less deceitful in its advertisement.***Update***Yesterday the watch attempted to update its software (btw, you can’t block it) and during the attempt it got frozen. I tried to turn it on and off, tried to reinstall the app- nothing helped. Now it’s totally useless, can’t even show the time.Downgrading to 1 star and sending it back.

Nice little watch. Eve though it’s cheap for a smart watch, but in reality, I’ve never paid this much for a watch before. It’s very comfortable to wear all the time, light and good looking.I like knowing my heart rate and sleep info, but I don’t know if it’s accurate or not since there is no way to check it. I’m not sure how it knows when I deep sleep, but it’s interesting. The find my phone function is hit and miss, sometimes even when I’m close to the phone, it can’t seem to find it. Not a big deal, I just call it like I used to.I like that I can read texts from the watch and quickly check the weather etc.I think my next smartwatch will be smarter. It would be worth the extra money to be able to make calls and texts, control music etc. but I do like just using it for a watch instead of always having to pull out my phone.I’m happy with this watch for now.

This is my second Amazfit Bip and it is very good. I find the band small so I will probably get a bigger band. Again, this product is came from U.S.A. so you know that you will have to pay customs fee for anything above $60. Otherwise….great product. All day display and 45 days battery life is just fantastic for this fitness watch (not a smart watch).

I love the watch! I would give it 5* but I can’t because I can’t use it. I somehow lost the charger.Amazfit does not sell chargers. The response I got was “there are several 3rd party sellers on Amazon that sell chargers”. I have purchased TWO and returned them both. They do not fit the BipS. I have looked carefully since those two and can’t find one. I’m attaching a picture of the back of the Bip (via internet) and my pink BipS. Notice a difference?? Yep! A square or a circle. A circle doesn’t fit into a space for a small square plus the contact points are in different places. I have called customer support and left a detailed message and my number 2x and no return call in over a week. I have searched their site for an email, all I can find is “feedback” and it asks how you like the new app. No contact info. How did I get their phone number you ask? I purchased support through Amazon and they gave it to me. BTW, that is not super helpful other than getting a number to the company. Maybe they can give me an email. Or better yet, they will respond to my comments here.

Budget level price but packs a good set of features like gps and full waterproofing. Fraction of the price compared to Garmin and fitbit.Pros:+ Super clean look. Clear LCD display. + Band is comfortable+ Solid 15 days of battery life. Can probably go longer if you reduce some settings on the app. But then it makes the watch less useful+ Solid water proofing. Swam with this I’m back yard pool and able to track laps. Hot tub too. No issues.+ Gps tracking is quick to get gnss fix and track the bike or jog ride+ My wife has this watch and in female profile mode it does track ovulation cycles decentlyCons:- sleep tracking is strange to me. Doesn’t seem realistic but I did not use the watch in the advanced sleep tracking mode in order to track sleep more accurately. This apparently drains battery so I didn’t bother- the app for android is a bit cluttered and doesn’t really offer heuristics and algorithms for your health and doesn’t Integrate well with popular calorie tracking apps. Amazfit app changed to zepp app. Neither are as good as Garmin and fitbit apps.- limited watch faces. I don’t love any of them. I just think there’s better use of screen real estate for layout of info and for some reason this watch doesn’t get this right… None of the available watch faces are good enough. So I end up using one that is acceptable but ultra ugly in terms of design and layout. Really hope they can fix this .This is one of better fitness watches i have used that is in the budget price range. I’m not willing to spend too much on a Garmin or fitbit . It does an ample job with tracking essentials and workouts. I think the hardware is excellent … The weakness is the application where it simply doesn’t seem to compare well with the main stream brands.

I got this watch to replace a Mi Band 3 that could not be seen in sunlight. The visibility of the Amazfit is very good outside so that’s a winner. The watch has the features I want and the GPS works well although can take a while to lock on. Build quality and battery life is excellent. The issue I have is with the heart rate monitoring. I have a very low resting heart rate of around 40. The doctors tell me my heart is fine so no worry’s there. The Amazfit registers me as sleeping when I sit in my chair and watch a movie. On an exercise such as cycling I never get out of relaxed zone according to my watch. Occasionally the watch goes crazy and suddenly jumps to heart rates such as 184 during an exercise. A manual check shows 98 to 110. This has happened on several occasions. So its a nice watch but not much use as a heart rate monitor for workouts at least for me.
