Fossil is no stranger to connected wristwatches, but the new Fossil Meta Watch may just take the cake. These watches are built on Texas Instruments’ CC2560 Bluetooth platform. This allows them to receive push notifications from smartphones and tablets. So why bring your smartphone when you can read your favorite tweets and emails right there on your watch? Save you some pocket space at least.
The battery life is also out of this world. The Meta Watch reportedly clocks in at seven full days of battery life before it needs a charge. Compare that to my iPhone’s, um, 2 hours and you’ll see Fossil’s new creation may be money well spent. They officially go on sale in July for around $200 each. May the watch be with you.
