I have only had this watch a day but wanted to give a quick hands-on review because I know that there are a lot of curious people who are on the fence and have a lot of questions. I will update this after a while with a more thorough review.I chose this watch mostly because I wanted something that would last me over a day and had a speaker/microphone (which seems to be harder & harder to find). I passed on the Galaxy Watch as I do not have a Samsung phone so would not be able to use all the features (so far it works fine with my Xperia XZ3 & Pixel 3 XL); also passed on the AmazFit Verge because their system only allows you to view notifications, not respond/interact with them.* Battery: The watch came at 100% and I know that Mobvoi recommends draining the TicWatch E to 0% & then back up to 100% 3 times to optimize the battery but not sure if you need to do that with this watch. I am going to try anyways just in case. So far have only gone thru 1 drain, which was pretty fast during the setup/updating process. I have been up for 3 hours & still at 85% so I am sure that this will get me thru the day but will give more complete findings later.I wish that the smartwatch came with a charging block. Even though I have amassed a ton of those over the years, I am worried about using the wrong one since they suggest only going with 5V 1A or you may damage the charger. I followed the recommendations and charged it thru the USB of my computer & it went at ~1% per minute, so ~1.5 hours to charge from 0% to 100%. Hopefully one day wireless charging will be an option.* Performance: The 1GB of RAM seems to work fine as I have not experienced significant lag. Surprised that it did not come with the newer SnapDragon 3100 but so far reviews have stated that it does not offer much improvement over the 2100 so maybe this helps keep the cost down. I included a video to show the speed of the OS.*Display: I like the larger size & the resolution is satisfactory. It gets plenty bright so should be fine outdoors. I have a screen protector on order even thought this comes with Gorilla Glass 3, you can never be too safe.* Size: The smartwatch is pretty thick but that is common, so not necessarily a negative but I have hit it on quite a few things at the gym already so am getting a case to be safe. The watch is relatively light so it does not bother me considering I am not used to wearing a watch. I included some pics to give you an idea of the size on.*Style: Looks fine for what it is. The bands are easily interchangeable so I plan to get a variety of types & colors to switch the look from sporty, luxury, professional etc . It would have been nice if there were color options like the original TicwatchPro.* WatchFaces: It comes with a couple for you to choose from but you can go the Play Store and get a lot more. I quickly learned that I need to switch to one with a digital time as the clock hands can sometimes block info like your steps or battery life.* Making Calls: Initially, I could make calls from the smartwatch but not receive them (when I answered on the smartwatch, it would say “Take Call from Phone” and I would have to use my phone instead). To solve this you to turn this on: Settings > Connectivity > BlueTooth > Play Phone Voice Call on Watch.Also a bit confusing, when you make the call it will ask you whether to make it from the Phone or SmartWatch. I picked smartwatch because I wanted to test the speaker/microphone but I would get an error message from Verizon. So if you choose the smartwatch option, it will try to use the Verizon SIM card which I do not have activated. When I chose the phone option, making the calls thru the smartwatch worked fine.* Price: Mobvoi TicWatches are by far the best deal out there for Wear OS. They pack a lot of features for less than competitors. I do not use Verizon so have no intentions of activating the SIM but the price bump is worth it to me for the improvements (lighter, Gorilla Glass, double the RAM, military grade and the improved waterproofing).* Wear OS: I mostly wanted a smartwatch to be an extension of my phone so I am perfectly fine with what this OS has to offer. It is easy to figure out and unlike others, you get all your notifications and can interact with them.*Customer Service: Mobvoi has great customer service. I had a previous minor issue and a representative reached out to me directly and came up with a resolution that was more than fair. It does seem like they are in China so be patient for responses as mine always came in the middle of the night.*Accessories: Since this is new, Amazon does not have anything specific for the 4G LTE model. I have ordered a charger, screen protector & cases for the original TicWatch Pro and will report whether or not they fit this model.*Summary: So far I am happy with the TicWatch Pro 4G LTE. The price was fair & had all the options I was looking for.

*11/19 Update: After having this for a few months I am still satisfied and would recommend it. I am consistently getting 1.5 days of battery life and experienced no major problems or lag issues. Accessories for the regular TicWatch Pro like cases, bands, chargers & screen protectors all fit the 4G LTE model. I do wish the screen could get brighter as it can be difficult to see in direct sunlight. Have gotten a couple of updates so it is nice that the OS is still being worked on. I have been using the Galaxy Watch since it came out. I much prefer WearOS to Tizen but the battery life on WearOS watches is abysmal. Ticwatch Pro LTE is the best I have found in that category. I can finally get through an entire day with a WearOS watch quite comfortably… which hasn’t happened before even with watches using the new Snapdragon 3100 chip. Though the Ticwatch Pro LTE only used the Snapdragon 2100, I find the performance snappy due to its 1gb of RAM and the battery is sustained by using “Layered Display”. This basically means they use an LCD screen instead of the OLED as the “always on display”. Though I cannot get the advertised “2-5 days” of battery life, I comfortably make it through the day which is all I ask.I’ve only owned this a few days but so far, I’m enjoying this watch.

I have several smartwatches. Apple. Samsung. Amazfit. MontBlanc. Tag Heur. Louis Vuitton. Fossil. You will notice that all of the watches after Apple and Samsung are pure Google WearOS watches.I have had ZERO trouble getting notifications from my WearOS watches. Emails are probably the single most important app on a smart watch. That and text messages. At least they are the most commonly used apps.You would think that the TicWatch Pro would be able to handle email. And it does – so long as you are solely tethered to Gmail. Otherwise? Forget about it. I couldn’t get it going. My long time (15 years) IT specialist couldn’t figure it out. If you go online and search for issues with non Gmail email on this line of watches you can read about the problems for hours. This is going back ASAP. What a piece of scrap.

I tried the TicWatch Pro and could not put up with the battery charge and the slow screen. Back it went.I then forked out more money for the TicWatch Pro 4G LTE. After all it had more ram and cost more so it must be better.Well, with everything but bluetooth turned off, I managed roughly 36 hrs of battery. But they claim two full days!! In my mind, that’s 48 hours. I got gyped out of 12 hours of use, with every radio turned off. This means no wifi, no 4G LTE, no GPS. In my mind, that makes this a very expensive entry level smartwatch.To its credit, the interface is much smoother than the Pro however the lack of battery charge kills it.I looked at all the positive reviews and concluded that the reviewers were paid off by tickwatch.I find this watch a worse value than the Pro.Unless someone can tell me what I am doing wrong, it’s going back and I am done. Going back to my Pebble.

It will scare you at first, being super sluggish….but it was just doing background updates. Within an hour or two it was snappy and great. Lasts about two days with heavy usage but I charge it at night and when I’m around the house so I haven’t tested it’s limits. The only thing I’ll complain about, and it’s probably a Google Wear problem, but it automatically launches music controls when you play music. That’s great, I wanted that the most. But, it doesn’t always pop up and there’s no way to manually make it pop up that I could find. I replaced it with an app called MusicBoss that’s had better gesture controls anyway, and couldn’t be happier. If it doesn’t pop up, it’s a quick swipe and there it is. It’s honestly exceeded my expectations. I was also wholly shocked when I hit answer phone on the watch, and my buddy started talking out of the watch and said I sounded clearer than my car mic haha.

Love the watch and the capability keeps impressing me! Size and fitment is perfect so it doesn’t look oversized or too small for a men’s watch. Like the essential mode and how long the battery will last on essential mode. Only complaint is how short the battery lasts on smart mode. I understand in order to do what it does takes battery life, but 2 days the watch is dead…
