I got this vest for Christmas. I am always cold when we are snow skiing. We just got back from a ski vacation, and I have to say, this was one of my best gifts ever! I wasn’t cold the entire time on the mountain. The battery outlasted the time we spent skiing each day. I didn’t have it on the highest setting though. It does seem to have an auto shutoff after about 3 hours. I just had to remember to hit the power button again at lunch time, so it would shut off on the ski hill. The only downside to this vest is that you can’t use it as a battery backup for your phone (no usb outlet). The battery pack and plug to the vest are specific to this item. I don’t think you would be able to use any other battery but theirs for the vest.With all of the different panels they send, you can really tailor the fit for your size. I’m a size 8, and was able to adjust the vest to fit perfectly over my under layer for a nice fitted look. I used the vest as a mid layer under my ski jacket. I would never usually pick orange for a color, but this is a really nice burnt orange color. It isn’t a bright orange.

I love this vest. Material is soft on the inside and outside. The orange color is more of a burnt orange which is nice. The versatility of changing sizes makes it very convenient depending on how bulky of clothes I’m wearing. The vest is too hot on high but a medium heat is perfect when out in the snow.

I have dialysis 3 days a week for 4 hours and they keep the clinic as cold as a meat locker. Although they provide a blanket and I take an extra blanket, plus scarf and gloves, I still get cold. They do not allow anything that must be plugged in so electric blankets are out. So I found these battery heated vests. I ordered an adjustable unisex but it was too big although it did pretty good for warming up, plus I had to supply my own battery pack. (I’m going to see if someone else at the clinic wants it or I will donate it, it was half the price of this one.) Then I found this one and it is specifically for women and the smallest size fits me perfectly (less than 100 lbs). In addition, there are six heating elements so I can get my hands warm. This has made dialysis, at least concerning the cold, so much more tolerable.
