I have a Venustas vest that uses 5volt USB battery connector. I have been very happy with it. It came with a 5K mAhr battery. But there are a many larger capacity batteries that will last all day at medium power available on Amazon.I bought this Venustas 7,4volt vest because it had more surface area heated. That part does work well. But this vest also comes with only a 5K mAhr battery only. At medium setting it doesn’t make a whole 4 hours. When you can keep the thing plugged in. The connector will back itself out if you move around very much. Your out in the cold and realize the vest isn’t warm anymore and have to fish the battery out and reset the connector and repeat a little later. Unless you are just sitting still and not moving around.Venustas doesn’t seem to have a battery larger than the 5K mAhr 7.4volt battery. Trying to order a non Venustas brand larger 7.4volt battery won’t work. The power plug seems to be modified to only fit into the Venustas brand batteries. So I ordered a second Venustas battery and that one the power plug backs out during normal use also.Very disappointed with this 7.4volt vest. But the 5volt is still working fine and I have higher capacity batteries that the connector stays connected to while keeping me warm for more than 8 hours at medium setting.Update 03/18/2023Venustas sent me a newer battery they have now. Venustas did address the battery connector issue. With this new battery the connector stays put, which is very helpful. The battery is physically smaller and lighter. But it is 4800 mAh and at medium setting lasts about 3 hours. So improved reliability, but a little less run time. Venustas says they are working on a higher capacity battery. Hopefully that will happen by next winter. I really like the vest, but I need it to last longer without having to carry several spares with me.

This is quite a piece of apparel that, once you figure out its workings, is a great product and a real help in our recent cold, rainy weather (yeh, I am in northern California but we do have winter nights near or below freezing and just daytime highs of 45 -55). It took me a couple of wearings, learning how long the battery lasts, how to turn it on and adjust the temp, but, MAN!! when you figure it out, this thing is priceless and essential and I will never be without one.

This vest is comfortable and provides heat all over the torso, keeping me in toasty comfort without extra bulk.The vest came missing the battery and I reached out to customer service. I quickly received a replacement battery within just a few days. Great customer service.

This is a great vest and it’s well made. I love the length, it was packaged nicely and delivered quick. However, the sizing is way off. I ordered originally in a 3x and according to the chart it should have been plenty big to wear over a sweatshirt, which is what I wanted it for. However, when I got it, it was way small and hardly zipped over a thin t-shirt. I reorder this in the next size up, which should have only been a bit bigger and now it’s huge. I can wrap it around myself almost twice so I probably won’t use it much. Disappointing.

My dad is 80 and for his birthday I got him this vest. He lives in it. He has two batteries; one charges while he uses the other. The vest is well made. First time I bought another, slightly less expensive but it wasn’t nearly as nice. Also, the button is SUPER EASY for pop. The other had too many option on the button it was confusing for pop. Highly recommended for a cold elder! Happy shopping!
