I live in SF and the local fires have made our air toxic. Right now the AQI is 240, yikes! This mask filtered out all the dust and smoke and I can actually breath well. Plus I love the style, I look like a Ninja!

I am a home inspector and bought this mask to save money (the 5 pack of disposable masks I like cost ~$25). I will say it works well to block odors from dead animals in crawlspaces and keep attic insulation dust from irritating my throat and lungs. Mine lasted about 2.5 months. Valves seem to work fine still but the layers of foam and fabric are separating and beginning to annoy me (see photos). In warmer attic spaces, the valves helped keep my face cool but the mask soaks up water and doesn’t dry as quickly as I would have liked. All in all this cheap mask worked as expected and was fairly comfortable considering the small and tight spaces I wore it in. I just wish it had held up longer. The next mask I’m buying is a more expensive mask with smaller straps, stitching around the edges, and a more lightweight (breathable) mesh.If you aren’t planning on doing as much vigorous activities and wont be wearing the mask everyday for work, you may think this mask is more four star material.

I use the mask to exercise in my dusty basement/garage. It does the trick of preventing dust from being inhaled, I can tell the difference immediately after workout when I take the mask off. There are some things to pay attention to, though:- It adds resistance to breathing. It can’t be helped I guess if any kind of filter is to be added upon naked breathing. It could impede working out at first until one gets used to it.- It is not very comfortable to wear for more than a few minutes. I can always feel it behind by neck and on my face, not only the pressure but also the fabric itself and the sews- It is small for me. I don’t have the biggest head/face, but still when I try to open my mouth even slightly the mask can no longer cover it all- I keep smelling my breath. Again, perhaps it can’t be helped, but it’s a thing to be aware of. I expected it to be better than the cheap masks you get at the grocery store.

Very poor seal around the upper part and nose. Can’t wear safety goggles while using it. The back strap is too short to fasten properly. But here’s the biggy for me…when I took out the filter media I found it extremely difficult to put it back in. The whole thing just falls apart and the filter media holes are too small to go back over the plastic parts. I got it back together, but I expect it will fall apart again.Way overpriced for the shoddy construction and poor performance.Ed B.

This is a review for product B07CPN6B2G “MoHo Dust Mask, Upgrade Version Activated Carbon Dustproof Mask Windproof Foggy Haze Anti-Dust Mask Motorcycle Bicycle Cycling Ski Half Face Mask for Outdoor Activities”For years I have used “3M Dual Cartridge Respirator Assembly” when I work in the yard with power equipment. With the proper cartridges, I never smell exhaust. However the 3M is bulky.I bought this MoHo Dust Mask because it has an activated charcoal filter and as the ad says, “Active carbon filters isolate 95% of dust, chemicals, fumes and particulates.” On the contrary, the exhaust fumes I smell belie the ad.I will continue using my 3M which removes every trace of exhaust fume odors and does not fog my glasses when I use it.

This dust mask worked great against mountain fire smoke around us recently. It also worked efficiently while I was cleaning around the house. It is comfortable to wear and easy to adjust. It saves you money by just changing the filter instead of buying a new mask. I am so glad I found this.

I like that this can be used for all sorts of work. My father used this right away as he’s a mechanic and does body work on the side. You can use this for ANYTHING. Cleaning, being outside… etc. I HIGHLY recommend this if you’re going to be around dust or anything chemicals you’re going to inhale. It comes with filters you can change too. See Pic!

This is a great mask for really any thing dealing with wood or even outdoors. I have used this while sanding, ripping wood, etc and also while working on the brakes of my car. Helps keep the dust out of your lungs. And it comes with replacement filters, a bonus!
