WORKS INDIVIDUALLY: this was very important for me. They dont seem to have a “master bud” like some sets do, you can just take out 1 and use that one and then take out the other when the first ones battery dies. When you just use 1 bud then the long press volume only does what that bud is programmed to do, for example if I just use the left bud the long press will only turn the volume down and if I use the right bud the long press will turn the volume up. When using just 1 bud your media pauses when you take it out, if you use both then you have to take both out for it pause, or just tap once on the touchpad of either bud. Doesnt automatically play when you put them back in, you have to tap the touchpad to play.MAKE SURE HAVE THE RIGHT TIPS IN AND HAVE THEM AS DEEP AS POSSIBLE FOR OPTIMAL SOUND QUALITYSUPER EASY SETUP: on my s9+, just make sure you have the samsung wearables app. Auto connects when case opens if you have bluetooth on. AMBIENT NOISE: mode is kind of weird, probably not best in class but could be improved through software update. But you could definitley hear cars and loud voices if you have ambient mode turned up (only works when you have both buds in ears) There is an update you need to install when you connect for the first time that takes about 2 minutes.3 different size buds and fins included. Wireless charging works on highpower and low power charging mats not just on the back of an s10 device, usbC charging also available.Tiny wireless charging case, weak magnets hold the buds in and guide them to the charging pins, you can shake the buds out if you have the case open, stronger magnets hold the case closed in your pocket, good and solid clicky case, satisfying to open and close. CUSTOMIZATION: You can customize the “long press” on the touch pads to turn volume up and down, turn on ambient mode or activate the digital assistant of your choice.UI: No buttons, just a touch pad that is very responsive and it has sensors to know if they are in your ear and the touchpad doesnt work unless they are in your ear so you wont accidentally change your music when you take them out. Touchpad can be impeaded by hair over your ear. These buds and the case are tiny, you could probably hide them if you have long hair. Be sure you like tight fitting in-ear buds, everyones ears are different.SOUND: If you arent an audiophile they are great, I personally dont see much of a difference in any earbuds no matter the price, they do sound alot better the deeper into your ear you can put them. They dont seem to get ear bursting loud but they do get very loud, good bass punch. No onboard storage like the iconx.BATTERY: I have not ran them to their limits yet but while using just one bud I listened to 5.5 hours of podcast (mostly voice) at about 35% volume and after the 5.5 hours the bud still had 40% battery left. When that ones battery runs out you can switch to the other by just picking it up and putting the other one in the case to charge.INSTANT PAIRING: when you open the case and have bluetooth on they connect in less than 10 seconds, I have not had the little pop up window show up like in the ads but they instantly connect when you have bluetooth on.Great purchase if you like in-ear style buds, kind of like ear plugs. Most features only available on Android, Samsung phones apparently work best though, Iphone works with basic features and siri.

Excited to be able to get rid of these weird air pods.

I’ve been HYPED about these earbuds since they were announced during Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked Event, and now I have them! I also own the predecessor to these, the Gear Icon X 2018s. I also have a pair of Jabra Elite 65Ts as well, I threw in some photos of those for a size comparison. I like these earbuds. Sound is good, definitely marginally better than the previous generation. The Galaxy Buds look better, they feel better, they’re smaller, and the case charges wirelessly which is actually SUPER useful. Now, I’m a Samsung FanBoy through-and-through, that being said, I think Samsung took a couple of steps backwards on a few things comparatively. The gestures are essentially the same as the previous gen except they got rid of swiping up and down on the earbuds for volume control. It’s not the biggest deal since you can still set up the earbuds to give you volume control (based on long presses of each earbud) but now you have to choose between being able to control the volume from the earbuds or triggering ambient sound or voice commands, you cannot do both (from the earbuds at least), and that’s kinda lame. Additionally, it seems like they’ve weakened the capability of Ambient Sound? On the previous gen I REALLY felt like I could hear my surroundings, within at least a ~10-15ft radius when Ambient Sound was active. With the Galaxy Buds that listening-radius feels significantly abbreviated for some reason? Additionally, most likely in the interest of shrinking the form factor, the Galaxy Buds no longer have their own onboard storage, so you can not store music on the buds themselves. That feature was super useful when you wanted to go for a run or workout but didn’t necessarily want to have to bring your phone, fortunately not having it isn’t a deal-breaker by any means.I feel like these decisions might have been driven by the desire for more people to download Samsung’s Galaxy Wear app, which is fine as a companion app. I feel as though with the Gear Icon X 2018s the goal was to help you not have to rely on your phone very much, if at all, where as the Galaxy Buds definitely make your phone a bit more necessary. In summation, they’re awesome wireless earbuds! They sound great, they look great, they’re compact, wirelessly chargeable, LOUD, comfortable, and not uber expensive! Personally, I love features and options. Even if I’m not particularly going to use something often, I still prefer to have the option just in case and I would say objectively speaking, compared to the Gear Icon X 2018s, your options are definitely a bit lessened with these guys.Upgrade worthy? Ehhhh, if you’re like me and prefer options and the Gear Icon X 2018s fit you comfortably then I would say you’re not missing out on anything more than a slightly modified design. If that’s worth an upgrade to you, go for it! If not, I think your Gear Icon X 2018s are worth hanging onto for a while longer! Lastly, if you’re new to the wireless earbud game, for $130 these are definitely a solid contender, especially considering the competition. Would recommend!

I don’t usually write reviews, or bother others with my thoughts on things, but since Samsung had such a chance to hit a home run with these, but boy did they miss, I figured I’d help others who were looking for the same things I was in these. I listen to mostly podcasts, so the lackluster sound quality is ok, I can deal with that in, but the idea that irks me is the poor sound quality these have all around, not just in podcasts or music. I hate to hold a phone when talking on it, and everyone I have spoken to on these has been disappointed with how I sound to them (sounds like I’m an in a tinny room with lots of echoes), along with my disappointment in the sound quality of those on the other end as well.

The product is probably not real the booklet inside was in Spanish and the earbuds keep making weird noise when I change music.

Problem with mic on calls. The other side informs me that they can barely hear me also echo feedback when volume is turned up on a call for the other side.

Amazing earphones I never every way but don’t buy from cellular tech, selling international version which is void of warranty.

Honestly , they sound great , but !!!! I use them as a bluetooth when i drive my tractor to talk to my boss and sometimes (like maybe 1 time in 1 hours) the signal cut ! Even when im at 30inch from my phone ! I dont know if its because of the shock my tractor does but anything from that ear buds is really great , I use them almost everyday and they are just perfect from my point of view, the bass is just amazing for me , if you listen to metal music and rap its the great deal you are looking at ! Im working always outside and its great to have no cord to my phone , and the commands on the touch side is awesome and really easy to understand

Great ear buds! To be fair, haven’t tried the air pods or any other ear buds, but the Samsung Galaxy Buds fit my ears like a glove! Very comfortable, great sound and I love that they charge on their own when you put them back in the case! I actually feel like they should cost more because the quality is fantastic! Again my own subjective and humble opinion.

So these earbuds “could” be good only if you have a Samsung phone. They have major issues with other phones mainly the fact that you can’t use the aptX codec with them and you will be downgrading to AAC. Also you will get some lag on Iphones. What’s worst is that at this price point, you are getting “static background noise” (yes even with ambient sound off). Oh and if you decide to turn on ambient sound, you will get the feeling of someone blowing into your ears non stop. Overall, not worth at all

I paid full Australian retail price for a brand new pair of Samsung Galaxy Buds from BrandsRUs AU on Amazon. The ear buds failed and when I contacted Samsung for a warranty claim they informed me that this was the “international” version of the Galaxy Buds and that Samsung Australia wouldn’t process the repair request for them. I was told by a Samsung representative that it was the customer’s responsibility to know this, because apparently thinking that Samsung would honour their product was naive on my part. The shop BrandsRUs AU had no interest in providing me with a repair or replacement because they knew there was nothing I can do. They didn’t even bother to respond to my request.DO NOT BUY GALAXY BUDS from Samsung and especially DO NOT BUY FROM A 3RD PARTY. Also, don’t buy anything from BrandsRUs AU.The customer service you get from Apple is ridiculously good compared to Samsung who will leave you up the river with a failed product and out of pocket. The product is not worth the price they charge given that they will not honour warranties.Buyer beware! Avoid Samsung and BrandsRUs AU

If you ever had quality earbuds, before this is not it. I’m a music junkie; therefore I was so excited to buys these. I legit am heart broken. They suck. They are so low in sound. When I saw it was made by the same company that makes the earphones that come with when you buy a Samsung phone I was totally for it ,because they are pretty good. You can get a pair of dollar store earphones and they will be louder than this. Highly likely to return.

Was a lil nervous with a couple of the reviews but said screw it and gave em a shot. They are real. Brand new. I didnt even look for directions to connect I have a samsung galaxy s9 … the wearable app made everything easy. Also saw people have issues with laying down and listening?? Had no issues. I wear em in bed frequently watching vids if I cant sleep at night so I dont wake up my gf. Wear them at work a bunch too they fit secure and dont move and the sound is great.

Love this headpiece. It sticks on the ear perfectly. I have worn it for 5+ hour and it didnt hurt my ears. I ride a scooter and it fits in my ear fine and hasn’t fallen off. My helmet doesnt cover the whole head meaning wind is constantly going through my hair and head. I live in a pot hole filled city and it has stayed in my ear. I have ran with it and the motion doesnt make it come off. As for sound quality it sounds good. Calling was perfect. People on the other line can hear me perfectly fine.. didnt need to shout just my normal tone was all it needed.

Excellent sound and comfort, 3 ear tips and 3 wingtips make it easy to find a good fit. They are lite and the battery lasts all day. BUT: surrounding sound (called Ambient Aware) cannot be controlled from the buds without removing volume control. Buds cannot be switch off without the case and will deplete the battery if they are not in the case. Ambient sound will amplify all sounds (especially the wind) but not the voices.
William –
The earbuds have a faulty design making any slight wind noise exacerbated to the point that you cannot hear anyone you speak with, or music. Unfortunately, this means if you run faster than a 9 min/mile, you will have loud wind noise interfering with music. Really disappointing and recommend to stay away. For this price, you should be able to use the earbuds in windy conditions!

The thing about these earbuds is, they’re great in almost every way, except they unexpectedly broke on my after just sitting its case for a day, and I can’t get them fixed under warranty because they are the US model (I’m in Canada). Earbuds would be great if they lasted longer than 2 months!

Have used these once for a 2.5 hour run in the rain. Plenty of battery left. Ambient sound mode works better than if you had nothing in your ears. (I could hear, and pinpoint the location of the storm drains in the dark as I ran by them). And they stayed put. I didn’t have to adjust them to keep them in my ear at all to the point that they were almost difficult to remove when the time came. This was the biggest deal to me as any other pair I had were always falling out.

These are amazing for my workout. They play clearly and stay in my ears! It is also sweat resistant as I sweat profusely when I workout. I have an iPhone 11 and would never go back to AirPods. The ear cushions they provide should work for everyone!

No complaints whatsoever about this product. Seamless operation and instantly connect with my phone as soon as I take them out of the charger. I’ve never had a complaint or comment about call quality – even while driving on the highway with the window down – and callers’ voices sound crystal clear and nice and loud each and every time. Highly recommended and worth every penny.

These buds are really nice. I’m having trouble with the taps but I think it’s me. Talking on the phone is really good, I can hear what’s going on around me but also music sounds wonderful.
