I purchased to 60 pound vest and have been using it for about a month. The first thing I noticed was the quality of the material and the solid craftsmanship. This vest is expected to haul around heavy weight and it uses materials suitable for the job. The strength and stitching is what you need to do the job. It’s definitely not a cheaply made product.I started with 24 pounds to get a feel for the pack. I soon added another 12 pounds to 36 and will be adding another 12 in the coming days. The addition/subtraction of weight is easy – just slip the weights in/out. Takes seconds.I did not order the should pads when I bought it. This may have been a mistake. About two weeks into my daily use of the best my shoulders were literally killing me. It was about the time I added weight. Instead of waiting for shoulder pads I stole four sponges from my wife’s kitchen supplies and used two for each shoulder. PROBLEM SOLVED!The weight definitely adds a challenge. I use the vest on my daily 5.5 mile walks. The vest gets my heart rate going a lot more and I’m spending most of my time in Zone 2 and Zone 3. Before it was mostly Zone 1. Nice for the heart and the fat burn.I’m really pleased with this product. It adds a great element to my walks. Gives me that “spent” feeling, which I didn’t really get from walking without the vest.It’s great finding a product on Amazon that actually does what it says!

I’m 5’8 215lbsI got the the 40lbs with no shoulder pads.1)Quality seems really good. I’ve tried jumping rope and push-ups so far. Everything stays and holds its place.2) weight distribution is awesome! Each bag is removal so you can adjust the amount of weight to your liking.3) I personally have wider chest and shoulders I don’t feel much discomfort on the shoulders. My younger siblings with narrower upper body did though.UPDATE: a week after buyingStill holding strong!! Material seems like it will last, I weighted the sand bags their 5lbs instead of 4K a how I originally thought… making the weight of all the bags 50lbs plus whatever Pounds the vest alone weighs.

I enjoy this vest for long walks, still need to take it on a hike. No way am I jogging in it, the knees would hate me. It came at a great price compared to the one at Walmart for over $100. Has a nice pocket to hold my phone. Which is sewed on on top. The bottom is Velcroed on and pulls open like a flap. The pockets seals shut with another section of Velcro. Very secure and tight to the vest. It’s not flopping around or going anywhere. I’m 190ibs and fits me with plenty of adjustability for a larger person. Would recommend for sure

it does it’s thing and how’s you would imagine it to although it is a little uncomfortable due to its itchiness. nothing wrong with it practically, it’s perfectly fine but if i could buy a different one, i would.

You might need a bigger shirt, if you plain on hiding this, under your shirt. The vest empty itself weights around 5lbs, this including the front section and the rear section. Vest and weights will come in three boxes with the weight evenly distributed, between all three boxes. The weights are about the size of a bar of soap.

I like to walk with some added weight as I think it is one of the best overall health exercises. I used to have weight in my backpack, but most of that was carried on my shoulders. This unit distributes the weight well and is of sturdy construction. I ordered the shoulder pads as an add on, but so far I haven’t used them. I walk about 3 miles carrying 50 lbs. this a good workout for me.
