Ditto has officially released their new three-dimensional “virtual-fitting†technology that takes an image of your face with your computer’s web cam and lets you try on hundreds of frames. All you have to do is browse through their hefty collection of designer eyewear, find a pair you like, then make a ““Ditto†to see if those frames really look as good as you think they might. Then you place an order, right there online, and the glasses get shipped to you lickedety split. No muss, no fuss and no atrocious dealings with the outside world.
The service has a social component as well. You can post pictures of you wearing your new and virtual frames to the social network of your choice, thus obtaining crucial feedback from the people that matter. It’s free to try but, of course, the actual glasses cost money. There’s no such thing as a free lunch kids! Watch the service in action below.
