Accepted delivery 10/30. Charged battery for jacket (10/31) and went high school football game on 11/3 game lasted 2.5 hours. There was no heat in the chest, neck, or arms. Also the battery is not recharging. Dewalt has always been a good brand name in the past, but this jacket is a total flop. Called amazon customer service whom accepted my money in regard to the purchase and they stated “we contacted seller and they will get back with in two days is there anything else I can help you with?” Total brush off I told her and the hung up. Amazon’s name is on the line and dewalt customer service as this product has 1 year limited,1 year free service, and a 90 day money back guarantee. Amazon and dewalt made good on returning the funds, although it took two weeks start to finish on the refund.

Bought this based on my experience with my Gerbing motorcycle jacket. The Gerbing gets very warm from the top of the collar to the ends of the sleeves and everywhere in between. The DeWalt gets a little warm in the upper chest and middle of the back for a couple of hours on a huge, bulky battery/adapter pack. I wonder if they could make it a little more awkward. The non-electric part of the jacket is well made with the exception of pretty short sleeves. Heating is minimal and only lasts a short time, so have plenty of bulky batteries available.

I use this for outdoor yard work and has 3 heat levels indicated by the color of the on/off button: high (red), medium (white), and low (blue). It comes with its own battery and battery charger and it worked perfectly with all my other Dewalt 20V batteries from other Dewalt tools. The only trick I discovered is that you have to hold down the ‘On’ button for about 5 seconds to turn it on the first time. Once it is ‘On’ then every click of the button lowers the heat level one step. You can really feel the heat on the back, front chest and the arms and it feels awesome on winter mornings during outdoor yard work on in the evenings watching the sunset after a day using Dewalt leaf blower, lawn mower (which uses 2 batteries), edge trimmer, electric drills, circular saw or hedge trimmer. Yes, I guess you could saw I am ‘all in’ on the Dewalt battery platform. One other cool thing about the jacket is that it comes with a connector for the battery that includes a USB charger for your phone. If the battery ever runs out, I can swap it in a few seconds with any other of my Dewalt 20V battery collection, and it has a couple of zipper pockets to hold my phone or another backup battery.

Absolutely love it, Bought as a gift for my mother who takes money at local school sporting events so she spends hours at ticket booths basically outside in the winter months and she absolutely loves it and wears it happily. And it makes me personally happy to have gotten it for her. Amazing product, exceeds expectations and will likely be getting one for every member of my family!!

Jacket is falling apart. I like and wear it every day but it’s only been a couple of months and it’s falling apart at the seems

Fits perfect and really great quality. Naturally as I assumed the battery does make it bulky and kind of a pain to drive, even in the alternative battery pocket. Shoulders going down to the biceps and triceps get cold really easy but, I really am glad I got it, for the price compared to another brand, it is worth it.

I got this today with prime shipping. Unpacked and plugged the battery pack up and it did not work. Kept pressing the button. Nothing. Tried unhooking cables. Different packs. I just found it hard to believe Dewalt would sponsor to continuously defective product judging by past reviews. Then I read through the directions. The button must be depressed and held until the blinking red light comes on. Bingo. Turned on and works great. I really believe the people returning these did not hold the button like I originally did. Do not pass on a great product. The soft shell jacket is very nice and comfy

I bought this for my boyfriend. He was working on MN in literally negative 55 wind chill weather outside for 5-6 hours of his 8 hour shift. It snowed every day he was there (he was there for 12 weeks on a job). He never had an issue with it, it kept him warm, for him well. He would not have made it without it.

Used and abused this jacket working in construction in single digits and lower teens many many times. Keeps the water out, and keeps the heat in. Only minor complaints is the battery is quite heavy and feels awkward sometimes. And depending on the setting, the battery drains a little faster than I like. It is sturdy and can hold up to abusive wear and tear too. I beat the heck out of this thing and it held up great.

Horrible experience! This coat says Dewalt but is really made by radians. I called dewalt when my coat failed back in January. My warranty was up on February 7th. I spent about an hour total on the phone with Dewalt. Got hung up on twice and one time it was after being on hold for 17 minutes on my lunch break. Finally they gave me radians contact info. They told me they would email me the return form I needed to fill out. I never got it. I called again and they said the same thing. I feel like they may have intentionally dragged it out until my warranty date was up. It’s now been a year and now my coat is still broken. The Velcro lost its grip and the sleeve holder flaps in the wind waiting to be caught in a saw or a drill. And it shuts off intermittently when it wants to. I just went out and bought a Milwaukee m12 and it is way better quality and I hear they stand behind their jacket. I am very disappointed in my purchase, and my experience. I am going to stop buying Dewalt tools. If Dewalt is going to put their name on it. THEY should cover it. For those that don’t know, I found out that Dewalt is now also black and decker and craftsman.

I normally wear an XL on my jackets, so that’s what ordered for this one. It fits me well, but truthfully I do wish that I had ordered on size smaller, because I bought this jacket to feel the heating elements. Because it’s a little loose (like all my normal jackets), the heating elements aren’t as close to my chest and back as they would be if the jacket were a size smaller. But overall I am still very happy with it. I wear it with the battery (2.0AH) in the back pocket. It’s a little large and cumbersome, but you get used to it. In my climate, the weather doesn’t get THAT cold, so I’ve been wearing this jacket with the temperature in the teens. It does well, battery life is good enough for me (I have a lot of dewalt batteries). This jacket works wonderful when I’m working, but I don’t know if I would trust it to keep me warm when sitting outside, watching a football game for example.Overall, very satisfied with this jacket.
