The main reason I ordered this jacket over the others is that it used a generic battery module and it allows me to swap it out for either a larger or small pack depending on the weather and how long I plan to spend battling the elements. The downside was that the quality was not what I expected for a $200 jacket. It was cheaply made and definitely looked it as well. The heating elements are much smaller that what is shown in the picture and mainly heats my upper shoulders, leaving the rest of me cold. The pads in the front put out a negligible amount of heat. In an effort to remedy this I purchased the exact heating element with 5 pads for only $8 (without battery) and I am hoping to add them to the bottom half of the jacket. There is nothing I could do about the cheap look though. My other issue is with the lighted switch, that is always on when the heat is on. While it’s a good conversation piece, I don’t always want to advertise that I’m wearing a heat jacket and stand out in the crowd. Overall it’s a great idea but poorly implemented and not well thought out or tested.

The electronic heating of this jacket broke after 4 months after regular light use. Action heat ignored my requests for repair post warranty. Also, the sticking on the velcro on the sleeves began to unravel shortly after purchase and I had to use a safety pin to keep sleeve cuff together on one arm. Don’t recommend at all.Update: I now have a ORO heated vest. The heating element is much warmer and quality of this vest is better than action heat.

False Advertising. I purchased 2 of these “jackets” BUT was sent 2 heated shirts with the same name. Bait and switch. I had to return for a refund.

This jacket arrived without the battery pack. I’ve contacted the manufacturer and I’m waiting for a response. Jacket fits as expected
