Hello ladies and gentlemen, Sir Glampsalot here and welcome to my mobvoi ticwatch s2 review here on youtube. Today we will be covering as many features as allowed by my android and iphone device that will work with the ticwatch s2.So if any of you guys have been following Mobvoi, recently they have dropped on us another two smartwatches that are more for the sports enthusiast, or swimmer. They have an e2 version and an s2 version. The only difference of the two that I saw was the price, and the bezel itself. If you want more of a circular glassy finish, go with the e2, if you want a more rugged, military grade durability with watch numbers on the bezel, go with the s2.After owning this watch for a couple of days, I really put it to the test. I tested it’s battery life that it shows off on the packagaing lasting up to 48 hours, the water depth test of up to 50m or 164 feet. And of course, the call capabilities. Now the other watches like the originals by Mobvoi, had a phone speaker in it, so if you wanted directions to be read allowed, it would do that, or if you were calling a friend or family member, you wouldn’t have to reach for your phone while driving, The s2 and e2 unfortunately do not have a speaker located on the watch, which is a huge downfall in my opinion. One of the must haves for me is a speaker, mainly because I want to hear music when I’m working out, or want to talk with people when i’m driving, or have the google assistant read any questions I have by voice instead of looking down at the watch for everything. You cannot make calls on this watch, however Mobvoi says you can connect a bluetooth headset, but why would you do that? Just pair your bluetooth headset to your phone, then you don’t need the watch afterall. It as well is supposed to send text messages, but could not get that feature to work via android or iphone. It has a handy feature though which is similar to the iphones find my phone. When you click on it, it rings your phone for you. Now as for calling someone. You can make a call on the watch, but you can speak in it, but you can’t hear them, which defeats the purpose of calling anyone of the watch. The interface feels like an upgrade with it’s overall snappiness and feels really fast and smooth. However, it is very unresponsive not just once or twice, but many times over and over. To the point of getting really frustrated and having to reset the watch to resolve the issue. After restarting some of the times, the issue still wasn’t resolved which was changing the watch faces. I literly had to go and remove my device and factory reset the watch and start from the beginning to get the watch faces to work again. Even trying to push the screen to access the watch faces worked sometimes, and not all the time. The watch felt very light and I mean very light and was worried if I dropped it, that it would shatter into a million piece, or fly away with a huge gust of wind, it’s that light. The battery after testing it with the always on feature, lasted about 3 hours. With the off display, it lasted maybe 10 hours. Not a whopping 48 hours like stated on the box. Maybe if you have the watch off it’ll hold it’s battery for that long, but still. Don’t advertise it, if it wont hold that long. Thats misleading advertisement. Some of the apps on the watch like the heartrate monitor is just downright creepy with a flashing green light that is welcoming you into the matrix. It seems to work for the most part when checking vitals, but when it comes to the water, then it is a totally different story. After the watch was getting a little toasty on my arm, I decided to snorkel with the watch at my local spring. Unfortunately I thought I had the footage, but my underwater camera crapped out on me, but with one of my depth watches, I was able to dive about 30 feet, and had to come up for air. I measured out a long rope, that equaled to 160 feet. I tied it to the watch and dropped it in the water to see if it could live up to it’s bragging rights. When I pulled it out of the water, thats when I started having major malfunctioning issues with the screen. I don’t know if it cant handle cold 72 degree water well, but when I took it in the car and applied heat to it, it seemed to work ok, but not the best. When I returned home I decided to try it againBut this time in a sink with warm water. Upon taking it out, it just was not nearly responsive again unless I dried it off really well. For the price, it’s not a bad watch, but I really do not see the need for it in the current market. It lacks phone calling, the messages do not go thru, it has no speaker, it’s running on older technology still, it has misleading advertisement on the packaging, and of course is unresponsive at times. This watch at it’s current state gets a 4/10. I really wish mobvoi listened to their fans and stuck with some of their top selling features. The watch feels like just a tad has been upgraded, but wouldn’t recommend going after it at this time. I would wait and see if they fix any of the issues first, or maybe go with the older versions they originally released like the first watch they came out with. That was one of my favorite watches, but with iwatch, samsung, fossil, fitbit, there are just to many leading watches on the market today, and would advise you to wait with mobvoi and see if everything is worked on before making this purchase. Thanks for checking out my review of the mobvoi s2 ticwatch from amazon. If you want a recommendation for a traditional watch that isn’t a smartwatch, be sure to check my next video covering what I think is the best bang for your buck. Take care guys and will see you very soon.

I really like Mobvoi’s products. This one though, is probably the worst one. I have the ticwatch 2, ticwatch S, and the to pods. The S2 is by far the worst one of them all. Constant connection issues, drops the connection from my phone all the time. It’s extremely slow and laggy when trying to do simple things. They definitely should have used the newer 3100 processor. The heart rate monitor doesn’t won’t when you tell it to, but it will do it’s own thing in occasion. I will be requesting a return/refund.

Having owned the ticwatch e before and really liking it, I immediately ordered this one. So far I’m really disappointed. This watch cannot stay connected to wifi or Bluetooth. I’m constantly fighting it trying to get it to connect, sometimes having to restart the watch to get a connection. I didn’t have this problem at all with my ticwatch e. I’m also noticing that it’s actually less perfomant than the ticwatch e that had a non-snapdragon processor. Swiping into screens or down lists is constantly lagging. I’m also noticing the battery is depleting faster than the ticwatch e did.I’ll keep using it for now and update this review once I get more time with it.My recommendation is to not buy it yet until the glitches are fixed.

I have had several problems with this watch since i received it 2 weeks ago. First off the heart rate sensor does not work at all. No matter how far I tighten the band it simply doesn’t work on tic fitness or on the google fit app. Another problem I had was that the tic exercise app didn’t record my runs correctly. It would simply copy the data from my previous run and not actually record the run. My final and most frustrating problem is that I have been unable to get in contact with Mobvoi to try to address these problems. To even be able to send a message to the company you have to create a account with their website, but I have been unable to even create a account. When I go to set up a account it tries to verify your email with a security code no matter how many times I try I don’t get a security code until days later and at that point the code is useless. Overall this has been a terrible and expensive experience. I don’t recommend this Item and I will be returning mine.

Mobvoi make it real, budget friendly and all good stuff from Wear OS, definitely best choose over any other smart watches including the battery life, for me almost 2 days almost reaching to the 3 one on daily use with all notifications set and default settings on.The screen is really vivid and i have no problems telling the time outside under regular day light, easy to connect and really trustful for monitoring your sleep, as always by Mobvoi best sleeping tracker ever, the GPS really helps a lot to fill your exercise track and is really accurate, it improve with the phone if you have it nearby. The customer service is outstanding incredible, they have help me a lot with so much with my questions, they are full engaged with the brand and the customer, they work really fast so contact them if you have any issues.Guaranteed you will be happy and satisfy with the watch and the Mobvoi Team service.

I buy Ticwatch S2 as I like it design. Received on today just take me around 15mins to setup simple and easy to use. After a few minutes of hand on the watch are very smooth. The design very suitable for sports usage. Only one feature I don’t like is the charging connector with 4pins connection design.
