POC Auric Cut Communication Helmet
Based on the Auric helmet, developed for park and pipe riding, the Auric Cut has been adapted to provide a versatile helmet for any free skier, on or off site. The helmet features an integrated communication headset, including speakers and mic, which allows for improved smartphone or two-way communication. The POC Communication Helmet is one futuristic helmet.
- LINER: The EPP liner provides maximum impact protection in case of a significant fall and will not deform permanently on impact. Can withstand multiple impacts with a very limited loss of performance.
- ADJUSTMENT: The adjustment system provides a snug fit and the ventilation is easily adjusted from the outside to close off airflow in cold conditions or open it for strenuous hikes or milder days.
- DURABILITY: Made from a robust ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) shell and weighs 585 grams.
- RELIEF: The interior has been developed to provide high levels of adjustable comfort and the removable goggle clip provides a safe attachment.
- COMMUNICATION: Integrated POC Aid communication headset, features speakers and a mic that can be used with communication cables for improved smartphone or two-way communication.

I had the previous model of this helmet and loved it. I had it for around 3 years and decided to update it. Since I love POC and thought that I was only replacing mine with the new one I simply chose the same size thinking it would fit the same way. I’m sad to say that it wasn’t and even though it has the system to tighten it, it was so big that the strap that tightens the interior was over my ears and really there wasn’t anything I could do to make it fit with out getting a head ache.Like I said I love POC and have been wearing a lot of their gear, specially for mountain biking (full face helmet, knee, shin, elbow guards) so I believe I know my sizes on their products. This is the first time I had a problem and since I couldn’t do anything to solve it, I had to return it. Got an Amazon gift card for the value of the helmet.

Helmet is excellent! Audio quality is great and you can still hear things around you.

I don’t know why these morons think that this has good sound quality. It’s absolutely terrible, trust me. The bass sounds like it’s blowing out at half volume. My dad and I purchased it to communicate on the slopes without having to take off out gloves. This would be possible except the buttons are so small that I have not successfully answered any call during this entire ski trip (though it works fine if you don’t have gloves on, it’s just a design flaw that makes the perk of having this helmet useless). Good helmet for safety but why am I paying extra for the built in speakers if they barely fulfill their purpose. This is a serious let down from POC.
