Owlet Smart Sock 2
As parents, we understand the worry that comes with having a baby. That’s why Owlet invented the Owlet Smart Sock to help you watch over your baby while they sleep. Unlike traditional audio and video baby monitors, the Owlet Smart Sock helps you know your baby is okay, and when you know baby is okay, you can worry less and sleep better.
- Know your baby is okay: Track your baby’s heart rate and oxygen levels while they sleep using clinically-proven pulse oximetry, and be notified if something appears to be wrong. Have complete peace of mind knowing you can keep track of your baby’s heart rate and oxygen levels from anywhere.
- Worry less and sleep better: The Smart Sock connects to a base station that glows green letting you know everything is okay, but uses lights, sounds and app notifications if heart rate or oxygen levels are too high or too low. Parents can sleep better and have less anxiety knowing they’ll be made aware if levels go outside of preset zones.
- Convenient, easy-to-use: Each unit includes 3 washable socks that comfortably wrap around the baby’s foot and connect to a base station up to 100 ft. away without wires. Socks fit most infants from 0-18 months or 6-25 pounds and should be hand washed regularly and alternated from right to left foot each night. Always keep the base station at least three feet away from your baby’s crib.
- Smart phone app: See real-time heart rate and oxygen levels on multiple phones using Owlet’s cloud-connected app. Free iOS & Android apps available. New history tab provides parents with historical trends for heart rate and oxygen and sleep tracking–see how long & how well baby slept.
- Our promise: Love it or return within 30 days for a full refund, making it a great gift for baby registries and showers or as a gift to new parents. BPA free, latex free, lead free.

Worth every penny for peace of mind, especially during the high SIDs risk age range. Easy to pair to your phone for monitoring but you don’t need to for it to work. The base will alarm with a noise and color if oxygen or heart rate levels drop. Comes with multiple size booties to fit a growing baby.

Im only giving 4 stars because you have to pay to get the additional services on their Conected Care app. I feel like for the price of the item all services should be included. However, I do sleep much better knowing my little one is being monitored. He has a heart condition so I keep it on him most of the time during the day too for my own peace of mind.

My baby was born at 30 weeks gestation and spent a month and a half in the NICU before we could bring him home. Another mom in the NICU told us about the Owlet and I’m so glad she did! It’s easy to setup and comes with 3 sock sizes so you can keep using it as your little one grows. It gives us such peace of mind knowing that if something happens with him we’ll know immediately! It’s easy to setup. All you have to do is plug in the base and then use the cord that comes with it to plug the sock in for charging. The base changes colors to let you know that things are working properly. After charging you just put the sock on your baby’s foot (it fits left or right) and that’s it! It has its own pre-set parameters for when to go off.The only thing I don’t like about it is the phone app, which is why I only gave it 4 stars. It doesn’t load consistently and most of the time it just says it’s “searching for the base station” so you have to rely on notifications from the base itself. I just keep the base plugged in wherever I’m going to be at the time. Other than that I love the thing!*Edit* I brought the issue with the app connection up with the company via their Facebook and they told me how to power cycle the unit and it’s worked flawlessly ever since! They have great customer service!

I love the fact that it is constantly monitoring my little one and very easy to use. Its been wonderful however one downfall is its $300 for the product alone and then to gain access to collected data you must also again pay per month for the connected care app and only on IOS devices. For 300$ this seems highly ridiculous!

5 out of 5! Greatful for the Owlet. After my son was diagnosed with WPW I purchased the Owlet. He often has SVT attacks where his heart rate rises above 220. The alarm goes off and I am able to see his heart rate live and to make sure it does lower to a normal rate, otherwise take action to decrease the rate. After a scare Christmas morning, where he stopped breathing completely, I am so greatful to have this. Worth the money and then some!Update: I purched the owlet in January. Unfortunately it broke today. I contacted Owlet technical support through the app. The cs rep was very helpful, he walked me through some steps to take to check what part has the problem. That took less than 2 minutes, coming to the conclusion that it needs to be replaced. Being that the owlet is a nessacary for my son I was ready to buy a new one ASAP. BUT the cs rep told me that since I just bought it in January (I didn’t get the 3 year warranty, although I subject it) they will replace the Owlet for free! He assured me that even though I purched through Amazon they are the ones who sell through amazon and hounor a 1 year warranty. I stick my my 5/5 star!

When my baby was 8 days old, he had an apneic spell, desaturated and turned blue so we spent the next 2 weeks in the pediatric intensive care unit. We were scared to go home because we didn’t know if these episodes would come back again after being discharged so we purchased the Owlet. We’re happy being able to monitor my son’s heart rate and O2 levels which was our biggest concern. We started off by having him wear it all day and night and the battery life kept up with the amount of time he had it on. Since our purchase in July (now late September), we only put it on at nights and charge it during the day and have enough battery left over for the next night if it’s not charged for the day. Monitor will play “Mockingbird” lullaby and light up yellow if the placement is off or the sock has fallen off and can’t get a reading. Same lullaby will play if the base gets disconnected from the sock and will light up blue which are the 2 most common reasons why the monitor goes off. Personally it doesn’t bother me when that happens, but I know some people hate it and consider it a ‘false’ alarm. The monitor will turn red and make a really loud annoying sound to notify you of any abnormal changes in baby’s heart rate or oxygen level. My kid can get his heart rate pretty high when he’s crying, so I turn off the monitor when he’s crying to avoid it going off. I also turn off the monitor and remove the smart sock off child’s foot when he has a dirty diaper because he can dig his foot in his poop if I don’t. Remember to turn off the monitor by app or base before taking off the sock to avoid monitor going off. Heart and oxygen levels are pre-set and there’s no way to change that. One thing we learned while being in PICU was not to read the monitor when it’s going off, instead look at your baby to determine if he/she is truly in distress.Bottom line, you’re either going to love the Owlet, or you’re going to hate it.

This is my mommy-must-have! I tell everyone I know to buy this! I don’t think I would get any sleep at night without my owlet! I was very nervous to buy this after reading the reviews – a lot of which were negative. However, I have been using this product for almost 4 months and I have had no issues. I have not experienced any false alarms. The battery lasts super long and charges very quickly. My baby sleeps every single night with it on. I understand it is not to replace safe sleeping practices, but using safe sleep practices and the owlet allows me to sleep. I cannot say enough great things about this. If you are on the fence, I hope my review helps you to make the purchase. The price of mind is worth every penny! And the connected care app is now free so you can see sleep trends for free.

It’s very clunky to work with, and not very easy to work into a routine. The battery doesn’t last very long. Plugging it up to charge is the most difficult thing – buy it and you’ll see! My only other complaint is the app – if baby is moving AT ALL, it just says “Baby is wiggling” and gives no readout until they stop moving – so it’s really only usable while they sleep and stay still. But if it’s something your family needs (which ours does), then it’s a good purchase.

Keep in mind that the levels of oxygen and heart rate the alarm will go off at is set way below when it is recommended to call 911 or go to the hospital. My baby may be brain dead by then so that totally defeats the purpose of this. The app didn’t always save the data either like it is suppose to. I was able to return it as I only used it for 7 days. My son has big feet for a baby, the largest size wasn’t always able to be put on correctly depending which foot. Everyday you have to change which foot it’s on as it can hurt your little ones foot if worn too many times on one foot. On that note, this cut my babies foot numerous times in the 7 days I tried it. I’m so thankful I was able to return it and get $250 of my money back. I felt more worried with it then I do without.

I got this for my daughter in law and son to use with our new grandson. They had requested it in their registry. It is an awesome product, and will really relieve their minds ONCE THEY CAN ACTUALLY USE it. Our grandson was born 4.5 weeks early weighing in at a whopping 4 pounds 6 oz when he left the hospital 2 days after birth. The sock cannot be used until the babies are 6 pounds. There should be a sock for a preemie

I wanted to love this product. It gave me relief and piece of mind for the first few weeks we used it with our newborn. However, after two weeks we noticed a major red marking on his foot where we put the sock. It looks like a ton of blood vessels have burst in his foot and the Owlet product is definitely to blame. We had to immediately stop using the product to avoid harming our baby. Buyer beware of this possible reaction when using this product on your baby. So disappointed to have to return this.
