Now well on its way to raising $100,000 on Kickstarter, elemoon was developed by experienced app creators who saw a gap for a smart jewelry product that sets the highest standard for design and engineering and delights women who embrace both fashion and technology.
“We asked ourselves: What if we could have a bracelet that changes color and patterns to match whatever we wear?†said reporter-turned-entrepreneur Jing Zhou, who was inspired by Native American jewelry and impressionist paintings.
“That’s when we imagined recreating traditional jewelry with futuristic material and interactive features. We want to make soulful, beautiful wearable tech products that convey personality and emotion.â€

elemoon is made of splash-proof, all-natural polymers with a copper base. Available in bright white with either a silver or gold band, the one-inch wide bracelet comes in both a standard and petite size.
It’s worth noting that Zhou’s team is primarily made up of women. Since founding her first company in 2010, Zhou has sought to promote women in technology and encourage female leadership and creativity.
“The majority of digital consumers are women, yet far too few products are tailored to them,†Zhou said. “A wearable is something we incorporate into our lifestyle. It’s not enough that something works. It also needs to be attractive and reflect our taste.â€
elemoon has already raised over 25 percent of its goal and sparked interest from celebrities, influencers and top editors and retailers. Production is slated to begin in September, and the first batch will ship in time for Valentine’s Day.
