The newly designed BioShirt, for marathon runners, will assist in evaluating stats, and preventing overexertion.
Korean scientists have developed “computing ware†with a monitoring system.
The BioShirt is composed of two parts: a specially designed shirt and a monitoring system that weighs about just 20 grams including a battery. The battery life is roughly three and a half hours but it will be prolonged to approximately five hours, the average running time of recreational marathoners.
People wearing the BioShirt will be able to monitor their temperatures, heart rates, and speeds while running on a real-time basis using a bluetooth wristwatch-type miniature computer.
The BioShirt is planned to be released in 2007. We have no details on price yet.
