OMG I did not know how great a gift this was going to be. Do buy the 2nd generation or beyond watch. Definitely look at this watch from a child’s eyes and not from adult perspective as I think some reviewers have done. Also consider the price – the apps on this watch are not going to compete with a device like a tablet where you have so much more money invested. For the type product it is, the market it is made for and ultimately the low price you get it for – this watch is a great product. Once my 6 year old granddaughter showed me all the things this watch does, I thought “what a great price!” She can take pretty good quality pictures and video – not as good as our smart phones, but good enough for a kid! It is pretty easy to do the video – so watch what you say! They can be uploaded to the computer or tablet. There are many many video effects, audio effects – yes it has good audio recording along with the video. My granddaughter can use these effects to jazz up her photos and videos – which backgrounds etc. There are several games, time keeping – a game to teach time keeping, a motion sensor and game. It can be a stop watch, an alarm, a calendar. Oh, did I say calculator? I am sure I am not listing all the things this watch does. In a very easy, intuitive, kid friendly, graphical interface – she put the watch on an immediately was able to move pretty easily through all the functions. No instructions needed! I am a software engineer and I love products that work the way this watch does. There is a USB port for charging – and it can use the universal USB micro cables we use in the house for other devices, although it does come with its own cable in the package to charge the rechargeable Lithium Ion battery. They say it is for ages 4-9, but my grandson picked it up and started using it very easily – I would say any child age 3 and up if they are used to technology, use a tablet or your phone to play with they can use this watch! Some two year- olds depending on their intelligence. Great product for a very reasonable price. Kuddos and applause to the designers. The one problem I see is that you will need to set some clear rules about this watch and taking it to school.

My 7 year old grand daughter loves it. She said it was her favorite Christmas gift. I like that it has challenges to get kids to exercise. The games seem really easy and basic for her age but the downloads look ok. Kids would benefit from educational games to help them learn math facts and other topics. That is one way to improve the watch.

Our daughter loves it! The battery lasts a while for her. That means I don’t have to charge it as often as other products we have. It’s amazing.

Grandson loves it

My grandson runs about counting his steps just like mum. The camera takes a bit of getting used to as you have to point it in the direction but he is getting the hang of it now.
