I’m a fairly serious runner and so despite the very high cost, I sprang for the Marq. From a functionality perspective (I upgraded from a Fenix 5), I love the new OS. The widgets are great and I am also finding that the new GPS chipset is significantly better than the Fenix especially when I run in Manhattan near tall buildings. Finally, I find the race predictor to be far more accurate than the fenix 5.While most of the things in the above paragraph might also hold true for the Fenix 6 or Forerunner 945, I also really like the titanium case, weight and size of the Marq enough to justify the extra cost. It feels less bulky than the fenix and the materials feel (and look) like they are higher quality.

I like that the watch is simple and it fits on my wrist perfect but it’s hard to read the face and the back light doesn’t show enough for the apps

I love Garmin watches and was excited to get the step up with the MarQ. Sadly, the images shown here misrepresent how the face looks – even at max brightness the rings for example are nowhere near as clear or defined. It actually works better in sunlight than indoors. Sent it back as it did not live up to price or expectations
