Another newcomer to the Wearable Electronic scene announced the latest iPod ready Jacket. CragHoppers introduces the Future Jacket that integrates the iPod seamlessly.
CragHoppers was founded in 1965 in Batley, West Yorkshire, building up a reputation for high quality outdoor clothing aimed at all-weather outdoor enthusiasts. The company specializes in design and manufacturing of outdoor clothing.
If you like to get out and about on a bike, tramp up hills or walk the dog in all weathers, the last thing you want is to fumble under your jacket to change a track. The fully waterproof jacket has a dedicated inside pocket for secure docking of the iPod and built-in headphone buds. The controls are on the sleeve so that wearers can be truly wired for sound while keeping their music player inside their jacket.
Further technical features include fused seams, body comfort zones, full-face rollaway hood and storm flaps. The control pad on the sleeve is from Eleksen, the standard solution for high quality integration of an electronic interface into clothing. Because of the use of ElekTex technology, the Future Jacket is fully washable.
The Future Jacket will hit the stores this summer and has a suggested retail price of ï¿¡250.- (around $ 480.-)
