I returned these insoles. I think they tried to work, but sitting in my tree-stand, my feet were cold. I don’t mind paying the high price, if they worked. I read the other comments before buying, and thought they can’t be that bad.. Maybe for some, they are OK, but I wasn’t happy at all. Sorry.

There are some negative reviews on here and I don’t know why. These are working fine for me, they keep my feet from freezing in a treestand while hunting. What more can you ask for?

I got these November, 2016 as a Christmas gift for my husband for deer hunting. When he received them for Christmas, 2016 deer hunting season had ended. He used them for the first time November, 2017 and they DO NOT WORK. This company does NOT stand behind their merchandise, DO NOT waste your money, purchase from someone who will stand behind what they sell.

This product sucks!! I just spent a few weeks in northern Minnesota and they didn’t do anything for me even on high. All BS!!And you can’t return them lol. They ship them to you ok but when you try to return them you can’t and get this. Item can’t be returned since it requires special transportation and handling which we can’t provide. They can provide it to ship to you but they can’t to ship it back the same way they shipped it to you. How is that possible? Don’t waste your money unless you want to warm your feet in your house not in the stand on a cold morning or evening shoot.Good luck if you buy them. Just send me your money and I’ll send you my crap when I can find special transportation and handling that I can’t provide for you that I really can’t lol.

The insoles worked well on two occasions. Subsequently, one insole stopped working. I did all of the recommended troubleshooting recommendations that were listed in the instructions, and when they did not work, I called Thermacell customer service. The customer service representative was pleasant, but did nothing to help diagnose the problem. He only said that they could replace the insoles but that they were out of my size and did not know when more might be available. He then suggested that I could upgrade to a more expensive model for $40, but those would not arrive for three to four weeks. When I said that this was unacceptable, the only suggestion he had was to contact Amazon. I did, and they cheerfully refunded my full purchase cost, no questions asked. So, Amazon gets high points for customer service, Thermacell gets a bad rating on customer service.

Even when it worked this wasn’t a great product. It just did an OK job keeping my feet warm. I used at work and battery life was an issue. After a few months one of the insoles stopped working. It received a signal from the remote but then immediately switched itself back to No Heat which meant it was always off. A month later the other insole stopped taking a charge. No useful troubleshooting info in the owners manual. I went to the ThermaCell web site and they don’t even acknowledge that the product exists. I contacted them and they pointed me to Heat Factory who apparently now owns the product. Heat Factory says they only market product (but apparently don’t help people who are dumb enough to buy the marketing). I recommend against this product. I also recommend against buying anything from ThermaCell or Heat Factory. Neither seem to value customers very much.

I have not worn these hunting yet, but my father has a pair and he absolutely loves them. He’s the reason I bought mine. He gave me his to charge and learn how to use so I could teach him cause he’s old lol. His worked perfect once they were charged. Mine however did not work until I changed the battery on the remote. They’re working fine right now. If the indicator light on the remote just flickers, change the battery (lithium CR2032) and go again. The indicator light should be bright red with no flicker.Edit: We’re actually sitting in the woods at the moment (25 degrees) and we’ve been using these all morning. We’ve discovered something interesting. Apparently the remotes are universal. I accidentally turned my father’s off when I turned mine off. It seems that if you’re with someone with a pair of these you can control the other person’s insoles. Not a deal breaker by any means but something to be aware of.

I bought these in fall of 2017 for deer hunting, and they didn’t work. I assumed I either didn’t charge them correctly, or the battery got drained if I left them on, or maybe the remote didn’t work. I tried again during a 0 degree football game, and again, no luck. I should’ve asked for a refund or exchange right then, but it slipped my mind. I decided to try them one last time for deer hunting this year, I made absolute certain they were fully charged, I replaced the battery in the remote (which actually wasn’t working), and tested them numerous times. They literally do nothing. What a waste of money. I really hope the company will read this review and still offer a replacement or refund. I will update this review if and when that happens.

I’m really happy I got these rechargeable heated insole as winter will soon be here and I no longer have to worry about my feet freezing as i’m standing outside in winter weather. These insoles are well made and seem to be of quality material.

I bought these to put in my boots that I wear to football games in wisconsin winter. Standing on concrete for 3 hours, your feet will get cold. I’ve tried numerous combinations of shoes, boots and socks but nothing really worked. I decided to give these a try and have been very happy. This product made a significant difference in my comfort level. I learned about these insoles from a friend who has a consistently cold floor and she uses them in her slippers – they were Christmas present she couldn’t stop raving about !
