It determines SpO2 Oxygen Saturation from your wrist!I found several papers on Pubmed (National Library of Medicine) that supports reflectance-based pulse-oximetry as accurate. The oxygen sensor used is made by OSRAM. It is a OSRAM BIOFY® SFH7060 biometric sensor.

I bought this specifically for Oxygen monitoring. It does not do it at all. It just shows 98% no matter what. You could attach it to a dead body and it would read 98%! The other functions are fine from what I can tell. I bought this based upon the one other review but I did not get anywhere near the same result.

Indicates 98% oxygen even when I’m not wearing it.

I bought this mainly for the ability to wear in the day and also at night to get accurate blood O2 readings even while I slept. First of all, in order to get a reading at all you have to wait a few seconds. It always starts out at 98%. Some of the reviewers probably did not know this and reported that it only reads 98%. Despite figuring that out, my reading over a few minutes fluctuated between 98% and 85%. My wife tried it on and fluctuated over a few minutes between 98% and 75%. To me that means there’s something highly inaccurate about the device.
