So far I can say this ring is everything it promises. Quick nfc reading from android and iOS devices are no problem once you get it set up. The only thing is I tested with a Google Pixel and saw that some devices needed it enabled first, but most already having running in the background since the same tech is used for debit card readers etc. My advice for IOS users. The manual doesn’t help too much as the text is a bit hard to read on it. The app on there too isn’t so great so I recommend getting a different app to write on the ring. You can just download an NFC writer: “NFC Tools” in the App Store for IOS and can pretty much write whatever you desire on it. It’s the best and easier to use in my opinion. If you have trouble, there are plenty of YouTube tutorials as well, but it’s pretty straightforward. Initially I had trouble setting it up with the app the recommended using, but after using a different third partying nfc tool, it’s been working like a charm. I have an iPhone 13 and it reads as soon as you press it against the camera bump. I’m very happy with the product. This does work with the latest iPhone ! Anyone who gets this one, just be patient, and you’ll get it set up :). Hope this helps!

I must say that the ring was very beautiful and comfortable on my finger. No complaints there! To me, when a device such as this does not have its own app, the first sign of trouble arises. It’s odd to have to download the NFC file and use your own NCF app is a major problem for me. Unacceptable!I see very little value in the ring in that it doesn’t have any health-tracking qualities.. Just an NFC reader. Great if that’s all you need but I think the device should be multipurpose vs uni-purposes to avoid having to buy and wear a number of them.I’m returning this one!

6 month update: I somehow broke it. The ring shattered around the edges. It still held up a few months, which is more than I expected from a ceramic / plastic ring. I really wish there was a metal option for this.Original 2 month review: I’m really hard on my rings. This thing has dealt with me doing welding, demo work, drywall work, and tiling over two months and still looks the way I got it. It also integrated perfectly with my NFC lock and was easily programmed from my phone. I only give it 4 stars instead of 5 because it came with a scuff or blemish from manufacturing. It has to be from manufacturing… This poor ring has been through a lot and still looks perfect other than that one factory blemish. Either way, I highly recommend it.

It works pretty decent on Android phones (Samsung), but not on iPhones.

Frequently when I reach in my pocket for my phone this ring will trigger the phone’s NFC reader. No big deal and I anticipated that. But equally as frequent, when I’m trying to show it off to someone and actually try to trigger the nfc reader, nothing happens. I usually have to take the ring off and hold it in the palm of my hand before it will work. Even that take a couple tries. It’s like Michigan J Frog and anyone born before 1980 knows how frustrating that can be.

It’s perfect for my intended use, additional information available to emergency personnel that see my custom medical alert bracelet (a new, gutted, cheap watch with a modified and printed face) directing them to read it with their NFC enabled phone.R-E-A-D the instructions that come with the ring. I read someone was complaining they could not unlock their ring, after locking it. The instructions warn to never lock it, because you won’t be able to unlock it ever.Another reason for purchasing this ring, is it’s yours. You don’t need to register it with the manufacturer in order to use it. Registration means possible invasion of your privacy, perhaps adding saved information to relational databases about you.

I set up a dot.card.com account and purchased a nfc card from them but it was really expensive. For more convenience in not having to pull out the card from my wallet every time I wanted to give someone my info and number, I just bought this nfc ring and had it set up to go to a link with my info using the dot.cards website and now in an instant I can give someone my information and contact info by just tapping the ring on someone’s phone and boom they have my info and I don’t have to take out my wallet to tap a card on their phone. It’s a big time saver and I would really recommend anyone if they have a dot card already or find a website to host your info on for free.

Nice ring use it for a few days then went for a swim at the beach. It’s all scratched from the sand and chipped away by itself. This ring has not been dropped.I only noticed that it was chipped because my finger next to it was bleeding from a cut.Looks like the ring can’t go in sun, water or sand.
