Concept is great. Hopefully; it will improve overtime. I received the Smartag with new phone. The device loads into the Samsung Smarthings app. To locate an item with tracker attached Smart things uses a map to either navigate or search nearby. The navigation will plot a generalized location of the tracker. The search nearby provides a signal strength meter which needs improvement. Looking for the tracker the meter is slow to respond walking past say a set of keys that one is looking for. Another option, is to turn on emitting sound from the tracker to to locate the device. It appears the tracker is limited to Samsung devices that use Smarthings software.

These are great to have if you lose your keys or phone plus can use to activate other Samsung products.

Work perfectly with my S21 Ultra. Precise location for sure. Smartthings app is now better than it was. Highly recommend this one. However, the price should be reduced to $15-20. At $30, it’s not really a good price to start with. I will wait for it to be on sale and buy 10 for my car, keys, purse, wallet,… or I just swallow it so everyone can locate me (just kidding😋). It also uses other Samsung devices around it to locate and report back to your phone if it’s out of range which is awesome. This technology is great and I need it for personal things I carry outside. But don’t let your wife know this smart tag exists. She will track you down every minute ;(. Overall, this tag is awesome.

This device is what I needed. I have the TILE and I replaced it with the Smart Tag. It functions quite well.
