Very small and light weight, yellow for high visibility, belt pouch is good but wondering if open window for the PLB door exposes beacon to accidentally open and activate if trekking through dense vegetation. Overall an excellent emergency communication device for the outdoorsman. This was a gift for my 91 year old father and now I want one.

Best insurance for everyone. This is a professional system with one mission and that is to save lives. iFly aircraft and travel in various countries and would never leave home without it. If you have nothing else in your travel emergency kit you must have shelter water food fire starting and a PLB. I I’m not interested in monthly service charges, and this system has none. in the event of a real emergency I’m not interested in texting or other unnecessary extras. The only priority is survive get a signal out and get rescued. Highly recommended.
