Let me say something… I looked all over the internet & could barely find anything about this product being genuinely reviewed, other than someone talking about it & it’s features. Customer reviews were good, but they were so mixed so I was hesitant, however I can assure you that I made the right choice, & you should too.I came home from work & opened this up, it was so light. So flexible, & was so soft. Surprising… I immediately plugged It into the USB port, changed the Volume Setting to the (Game) setting, & it instantly worked. The sound is so crisp, like so crisp. I play Final Fantasy XIV for example, I have over 10,000 hours into the game. I have heard sounds that I’ve never heard before with this, like absolutely insane. Played Dark Souls 1 again, which I have 4,000 hours into, & it sounded unreal. Who would’ve thought this would actually be something that works so well. The volume can really pick up, & it’s weird cause it doesn’t feel like it’s as loud to you, just feels like you’re right there in the game. However, everyone in my house begs to differ. This has some kick to it. Absolutely 0 bass but has some vibrations from sounds, which is nice. This is terrible for music, really meant for playing games. Not sure why.In terms of comfort, it is great. Not having a headset on feels amazing. No more strain on the head with a minor headache after raiding or wearing it for extended hours, no more Headset Hair so I can go out without looking like an idiot, & just easy to take off/put back on.For the cord length as I’ve seen complaints, I don’t mind it. I don’t feel the cord on me when the device is on. It sure is long, absolutely, but it’s not bothersome depending on your setup. As much as I like wireless, I hate waiting to charge it up or buying new batteries etc etc, so this is great. The microphone, oh the microphone. I hadn’t seen anything on this either in detail. It’s good! Nothing amazing though. My raid team says it sounds like I’m almost on speaker, but it’s very clear. I had my game as max volume, & was attacking monsters with loud effects in my ear, & he didn’t hear anything as I talked. Maybe a few things here & there after long periods of time but was unnoticeable. Crazy! Feels fantastic.I mean this when I say it, a little change can really go a long way! This changed the way I will experience games & even games I’m investing thousands of hours into now, & I’m the future. It’s amazing! I thought it almost looked stupid but I’m genuinely impressed! Highly consider buying.Edit: It is currently July 13th, 2022 & this thing is still holding up great. I’ve dropped this more times than I could count, & still is in great condition. Some things I would like to update though. The microphone is a lot better than what I had described it on. It’s much better than being on speaker phone, just has that little bit of “raspiness” to it. You can play a game at full volume & talk to friends & they will not hear the game at all.It still is comfortable, there was 1 awkward phase of my neck adjusting to it, but that was maybe the first 3 days.Music still stands true. Anything with bass or 808’s is going to sound horrendous, gods honest truth. Any hiphop song you put on goes from 30% volume to 90% volume throughout because the headset can’t do bass, kicks, 808’s all that. Hard rock, game music, jazz, all that works really well, it’s just hip hop that sounds god awful on these lmfao.Sound quality has not dropped at all. Still crisp, smooth, impeccable. I see this is on sale now, nice! Would 100% recommend picking it up on sale especially, I’d recommend it even without the sale (obviously). For real though, this shit is crazy…. Definitely worth the buy. Enjoy it 🙂

I honestly was not sure how high to raise my expectations on this but in the end I was pleasantly surprised. Its pretty lightweight, you almost don’t even feel it on neck and shoulders. The rubber pads on the bottom are a nice touch as well. Sound quality overall is good. It has preset gaming modes which are a noticeable change in EQ. Not entirely sure the built in mic quality since I haven’t really used that much. The mute button and volume controls on the speaker themselves are a great feature as well. Sound is good, not amazing but not bad or unwearable either. With the volume maxed out things get a little muddy with the low ends mixing with the mids. At mid volume its a lot better though. I tend to find myself using this when I want more immersion in the game I’m playing but also need to be aware of whats going on in my home while I’m gaming. Overall a great option for game audio that I will continue to utilize.

This is a very interesting product. It makes video games more fun with this on your neck it acts like a surroundsound around your neck and it makes playing video games more realistic. I would recommend playing car games with this as it makes it more fun and enjoyable, and you can hear every aspect of your car, this product is amazing.

The SoundSlayer SC-GN01PP can best be described as a soundbar for your neck. It sounds super uncomfortable… but it’s actually the exact opposite. You do forget you’re even wearing it at times.I spent the last two days messing around with the Panasonic SoundSlayer and my PS5. Overall, it was a great experience. This is a great option for casual gaming, late night play and when you just want to relax and MMO all day.For a wearable speaker The Soundslayer manages to pack a lot in its light weight and comfortable frame. 4 speakers, dual noise canceling microphones and 6 different audio modes but unfortunately it doesn’t get as loud as I’d like. It’s not very “bassy” and that could be a major turn off for some people.Panasonic was kind enough to send me the SoundSlayer SC-GN01PP. However, The opinions expressed above are my own.

Pros:- Comfortable to wear, very lightweight- Wired connection allows you to use speakers and mic simultaneously without degradation- No sound leakage into voice chat while gaming- Nearby people cannot hear as much of your device’s soundsCons:- Sound quality could be better, especially bass- The speaker itself will make announcements when you use the buttons, which can be loud- Buttons all feel the same, which makes it awkward to differentiate functionality by touch- No option to go wirelessI was skeptical because of the price tag, but a friend recommended this to me, and after using it for a few days, I think this speaker system is a great idea. I have large ears, so I cannot wear a headset for long. Meanwhile, earbuds can be annoying to deal with, and the mic quality on those can be poor. I can wear the SoundSlayer for hours on end with no problem. It does require a sacrifice in audio quality, but in terms of functionality for gaming, I have no complaints.

I originally wanted the final fantasy version but it was $100 extra just for art on the device, too much.Great for gaming and listening to music, I quit using headphones and this is a good solution. Volume and sound settings on the device have a voice assistant so its very easy to use. The microphone has great noise cancellation so i was able to play games and talk with my friends with no problems. They did say the mic quality was a little bad though. It can get a little warm at times and my long hair gets snagged in the speakers sometimes but overall i’m happy with it. You can switch it to stereo mode and use it like regular speakers too its great.

Was tired of buds in my ears. This works great and my team can finally hear me clearly with little effort on my part

I bought the Final Fantasy version of the Soundslayer after getting a tad concerned about headphone dent. The audio is phenomenal, it’s feels like actual surround sound. It has a lot of modes too, like “RPG”, “FPS” Cinema”, “Voice” and many more. It’s comfortable, I thought I would need some time to adjust to something on my neck, but surprisingly it is very light and fits well on my neck. The only gripe I have about the Soundslayer is probably the microphone quality. Apparently according to my friends’ feedback, it sounds like I’m really far away and muffled. Therefore, I suggest getting an external/additional microphone to use instead. For FF14 players out there wondering about this purchase, yes the sound quality is great even when playing the game. Personally I use the “RPG” mode, and even use it while raiding both savage and ultimate content. The surround sound is so good that I can actually pinpoint exactly where the boss mechanics are happening way better than my headphones. I also love that when you change the “mode”, it plays out the job change sound as well.Overall, I’m quite pleasantly surprised, quite happy with my purchase, although the bad microphone quality is slightly a bummer.

After playing around all the settings described on the user manual, I conclude that the sound quality is extremely crappy and cheap. It is not better than a $50 speaker (probably even worse). Do not get influenced by its promoted collaboration with Final Fantasy 14 sound team. This speaker sounds so bad under any prebuilt modes in the FF14 game as well.

  • // Q & A

Will this work with an Xbox One X console does it have an optical audio cable?

Hi! Yes, it will be compatible with an Xbox One X. You can connect it via USB on the xbox or a usb adaptor, and an audio cable.

Do you have to plug it into the tv or PlayStation?

Hi! It has an USB cable, therefore you can plug it either in the TV or the Playstation.

does this thing make a good headset?

If you are looking for a comfy one, yes, if you are looking for excellent sounds quality, it is not, but the overall sounds are not bad

Can it be used with a sound card ?

Best way to think of it: it has a sound card built-in. Soundcards are an all-in-one piece of tech that serve as a DSP (Digital Signal Processor, for surround and EQ tuning), DAC (Digital to Analog Converter), Amplifier, and output. This neckband already has all those components inside, and the USB connection would bypass the duplicate parts in a soundcard. This is great if you’re using the soundcard built into a laptop or a smartphone dongle; you know you’ll know you will always get the experience the neckband was designed for. You could connect the neck speaker to a soundcard with the AUX port… but you would lose surround.

Would this would work wity a blue yeti microphone?

As long as it has a standard headphone jack
