By now the odds are good that you have seen the video release by Samsung at the MobileBeat conference. The conference, which was based in the city of San Francisco, was the debut of Samsung showing off the idea of disposable sensors.
Disposable sensors are not a new idea, just ask anyone who has had pad stuck to their chest for a EKG. In mobile tech the promise has been limited. Â After all the complex sensors that most of the up and coming devices use are not cheap. Making throw away versions could become a sizable cost loss for consumers and manufacturers.
So is Samsung working on making inexpensive sensors for a variety of mobile tech applications and how will that change the game? Only time will tell, but we would love to hear your point of view in the comments.
