I no longer ski… I no longer snowboard. What I do is walk a 70-80 lb. dog who is not well-trained. (I blame the owner—me.) So I wear the helmet when walking or running the dog. I’d rather get a few funny looks than get driven to the hospital after a fall.Truthfully, this review is based on fit, venting and warmth.1. The fit is adjustable and fits me very well.2. The top vents can be opened or closed depending on activity level and weather. It does make a difference.3. The ear pads are wonderfully warm. It hasn’t been terribly cold, but they work into the single digits at least.I hope to never update this review after a fall (it seems to be well constructed).

I like the fact the helmet is adjustable. I will use it while skiing, riding in a UTV with seatbelts & rollover protection, while nutering cats, tuning bongos, and slaying dragons.

I bought this specifically for the audio compatibility. The pockets themselves are the right size, but the opening is only 2″, leaving them too small to use with any of the drop-in speakers on the market. I’m guessing this is a manufacturing defect and have reached out to the manufacturer but haven’t heard back yet.The helmet is comfortable and appears to be well made. Hopefully I’ll get an updated earpad with a larger opening. If so, I’d rate this 5 stars.Update. Heard back from the manufacturer and they offered a full refund with apologies for the defect. They provided timely and professional support but ultimately the helmet is not useful for audio.

When looking for a ski helmet, you will find that those that are audio compatible are on the higher range of the price scale. This one has audio, air vents that can be opened/closed, and all the good features you will find in quality helmet. Feels light and good fit on the head.

The helmet appears to be good quality, but I have to return it. My head measures 55cm, so I went with a medium. Even on the tightest setting, it’s much too large. I’m hoping the small will fit. The sizing chart has a gap in sizing between the small and medium, and going up was clearly the wrong answer.
