Gamers can be an intense crowd. They can live and breathe the action that comes in their games when they get into it. One piece of wearable technology can help them to experience the game in even more depth. The 3RD Space Vest is an interactive vest that works in a manner opposite the bullet proof vest. Instead of muffling the impact of a bullet wound the vest creates the feeling of a bullet impact. The company who makes the vest, TN Games, describes the sensation in the following terms, “Sense the direction and force of bullet fire, explosions, and environmental effects, perfectly synced with the on-screen action, through the Vest’s 8 active zonesâ€
The vest can be attached to a PC game (sorry console gamers there is no version for you yet) and allow you to feel it when a shot is fired your way. The system currently supports about 40 PC games including: Rage, Call of Duty Black Op, FEAR2, Quake 4, Fable, and Fallout. The vest will set you back about $140 if you want to get one of your own. The minimum system requirements for the vest are as follows:
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP or higher
CPU Speed: 1.5 GHz or Faster
Memory: 512 MB or higher
Video Card: Video Card must support DirectX 9
Source and Image: TN Games
