These glasses have pretty bad pairing issues, it is always hit or miss on whether it will successfully connect to my phone. I have been able to pair the glasses on a few occasions, it seems like if you “forget” the spectacles in settings and start over, there’s a chance that they will connect but doesn’t always work. The amount of work you have to put into successfully pairing/connecting the glasses to your phone is ridiculous and not worth the price tag. For $200 I shouldn’t have to be troubleshooting these things every time I want to upload a video.

I’ve had the V1 for the past couple of years and it still works great – figured I didn’t need the V2 until the saw the Nico style which is a more polished / serious look that I’ve been wanting from them. The V2’s seem to take higher quality images and the sound is also clearer vs. the V1’s. Snapchat is a different experience when you use these – I’ve taken some great snaps of hikes and activities such as tennis and running which really allows your friends/fans to experience the ‘thru your eyes’ lol.If you love Snapchat or want to give the perfect gift for someone who does – this is a must have.

If youre an avid snapchat user such as myself (stewy4198 add me) than these will be the perfect gift for you. Push a button to take a vid, push and hold for a pic and everything is stored to the glasses until you transfer to your snapchat. (Do it over Wifi so everything is HD) My few gripes are that the battery life is frankly terrible and they are way too pricey. The camera quality appears 720p which in 2018 is nothing to brag about and the charging cables magnets are cheap.

I got these for my wife since she loves Snapchat and they seem to work but seem to have connection issues a lot and the system doesn’t quite make sense. You can only post the video as part of your story which seems to limit what you can do. It would be so much better if they just went to your device and let you choose how you wanted to post it, that way it could be between all apps or messages or whatever. I love the case and the fact that it charges your glasses and they look cool and feel fine when you’re wearing them but Needs a little work in my opinion.

Takes decent short videos. The video I posted does have a filter on it. I can’t wait to use them on vacation!Value for the money. I do think they’re abit overpriced. You have to use snapchat to upload everything. For $200 you should be able to upload to your gallery too but they are produced by snapchat soooAs for battery life, I can take about 10 videos and it’s ready to charge up again. But with that being said, you can just take pictures and it uses less battery.Water resistant? I mean I’ve worn them on my head while it’s sprinkling outside with no issues but it hasn’t been summer yet so no direct swimming pools.

Update (May 24th 2019): Snapchat just sent me a brand new pair. Once again stellar support.Update: Just sent my Specs back to snapchat since they no longer working. I stand by the statement that the complimentary support by Snap Inc is stellar. They printed me a shipping label to return the specs and I’m waiting to see if they will send a new pair or fix my current pair. I’ve traveled from sand dunes to sea with these specs on and I’ve had a difficult time keeping the charge area clean as sand particles very easily get in and I did have them in the ocean (near the surface) and they seemed fine for a while, however, they began to record at random and not when I pushed the button (while overheating) shortly after my travel.Old review (Jan 2019): So far so good. Snap Inc has good support. Love the style of the Veronica, but the glass part is cheap, and looks more like a hunk of plastic then it is an actual polarized lenses. The video is also not very good quality. The footage looks like something from the 80’s or 90’s. I was hoping for better video quality in the year of small action cameras.

well… it’s a pretty cool product the whole concept is great and convenient but it’s kind of stupid the fact that these are pretty much the same as the old ones the only thing is the old ones looked more like a novelty and more like a kids toy since they have that ghost look to the lenses and because they are kind of small…I wished they would have made these a bit wider i mean at least so they look like an adult can use and wear them especially for the price i mean there are adult snapchat users too not just teens and kids at least think of the fact that for 200 dollars everyone should be able to wear them with that being said i dont like how on the pictures the glasses look bigger and wider on the guy but they are but a small fraction bigger than the 1st gen i really wished the would have made them better also that they would have made them case compatible or at least come with a slick new case to charge them in not that cheap one that it comes with… especially for 200 dollars

Snap Spectacles might be a niche market, but if you’re in that market, the 2nd gen Nico Spectacles are the way to go. I’m a bit disappointed there’s no charging case for them, but they make up for that in style and use. Out of all three generations, these are the best in terms of value and function. I would only recommend the first gen if you can get them cheap, and I would not recommend the third gen because they are almost $400. Go for the Nico!
