After looking at reviews of different neckband Bluetooth earphone, this one does not disappoint! Sound quality is impressive with option to have bass on (either on or off, does not have option to increase the bass level). The neckband and earplugs (with different sizes provided) are comfortable. And the most impressive is the battery duration. I did not time the battery lifespan but I only charge it once every 2 weeks. Have used it for a month and the quality still holds. Hope that it will last for more than 2 years, but otherwise, a great buy considered the cost. High recommended!

I have had more than one person tell me the background noise is louder than I am… seems like the opposite of what you might want :>. I wonder if the problem is the placement of the microphone pinhole? It seems like it would draw in sound from away from me better than it would sound coming from me.The battery life is phenomenal, and the sound on my end is clear. I like the magnetic connection the earbuds make, it keeps the headset from flopping around so much. The stiff neck piece and the buttons are all well designed and well-placed. I like wearing this, the only knock against is the noise cancellation issues.

Overall great item. On 3rd set . 1st set lasted for about a year in somewhat harsh environment. 2nd set did ok until one ear bud earbud pulled loose from wire casing, still worked but had uncased wiring exposed. The 3rd set was Bought the 1st of December 22. The power button popped out, was able to place it back in but it doesn’t function. A little over 3 months use.. Believe I will be trying another brand unfortunately

This is my 4th Anker Soundcore product that I bought. I’m looking for neckband earbuds so I thought to try this one out.I mainly focus on the sound quality of Life U2 in this review. I love loud earbuds with lots of bass without sacrificing the sound clarity. I noticed some reviewers said these don’t have enough bass, but I think U2 offers pretty decent and thumpy bass. The ‘bass-up’ feature can boost the bass up to around 40-60%. The problem is I’m very particular and choosy about bass, so I’m not satisfied with the default bass of this product. But to be honest, I haven’t completely satisfied to any earbuds and headphones that I have (over 10, including Bose, Samsung Buds, earpods, Ankbit, and Soundpeats) regarding bass. Only Soundcore Q10 that I feel has a rumbling and crazy bass!So how do I increase and modify the bass to my liking? Simple. I just use 2nd party equalizer and volume booster to radically change all my earbuds and headphones, including this Life U2That does the trick here, this product can handle my additional bass and volume booster. But by default, Life U2 is not loud enough for my standard. H1 and other Soundpeats products sound much louder. The funny thing is even the Soundcore’s EQ app that I have in my Q30 doesn’t really escalate the sound quality. For some reason I’ll never understand, an external EQ turns out to be much better than the EQ embedded in the earbuds’ software and products. In short, if you want louder sound, increase the sound quality (including the bass), just use additional EQ. Without EQ, you won’t get good sound quality. Don’t get me wrong, Life U2 will be a great option for ‘normal’ use, like calling, listening to podcasts, zoom-ing, etc. But if you’re an audiophile, you’ll need a booster to make this great.Second problem is the sound leaks when you turn the volume to 70%. I cranked the volume up to 100% (not yet boosted to 110% or more) and people around me can tell what I’m listening to. I changed to different ear tips, but this problem remains. It doesn’t happen to all my Soundcore headphones though, so I think this is something that Anker should fix in all of their earbuds. A constructive input for Anker! Not sure about battery life but I feel it lasts way below 24 hours, maybe because I set my volume to around 80% to 120%.I can overcome the sound quality and quantity’s problem, but 1 thing that annoys me from this product is it doesn’t have stable connection. Many times the sound comes and goes, and I have to restart things. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. This is really dumb, it’s like I’m listening to a robotic music! The earbuds are even dead a couple of times when I still enjoyed my music (with 60% battery level). This problem should never occur even in $43 earbuds. I mean, this is Anker Soundcore for cry out loud! So for this problem alone, I’ll make Life U2 as my first Anker product that I will return.

I liked this headphones, great battery life, voice quality is ok, water resistance is much higher than other brands, but mine did not last beyond his first year, 1 side of the buds stopped workingAnker kindly sent me a new one but it also had the same issue after 6 monthsI used it every day, enjoyed it and kinda miss it now, but my next one i will try another brand

  8. Susan Fornoff

I really liked these — great sound, noise cancellation, and I prefer the security of having the earbuds hanging on a neck wrap. But after not quite a year I noticed there wasn’t any sound coming from the right side. I double checked that it wasn’t my phone and that other headphones were working fine, I tried a reset, then I reached out to support. It was impressive to get a quick response and a replacement already on the way, and they actually want me to let them know when I get the replacement and that it’s working. Way to foster brand loyalty!

This product only works for one month. After that you will find that it suddenly goes dead, never gets charged and never turns on. Very poor customer service from the seller to solve problems. I strongly suggest to not buy from this seller.

First, the different sizes of soft ear pieces is nice to have. And the little loop helps keep them in my ear much better than others. They don’t fall off easily like others.Sound quality is great. Full spectrum sound. Not to tinny like others from this maker. I can’t remember how to adjust the bass boost, but I turned it on when I got them and I’ve never felt the need to change it.These are very durable. I fall asleep with them on nearly every night for the past 6 months and they’ve yet to break. And I toss and turn at night.Bluetooth connection is strong. I can go downstairs and leave my phone in the bedroom and they stay connected and playing. Of course your house many be different.

I can only be positive because I put these things through the ringer over the past 3 years. I normally wear them when I’m on the motorcycle but ended up wearing them anytime I was doing yard work or excercising. These things have been dropped, stepped on, rained and sweated upon, shut in doors and I can’t even remember what else. They had pretty good sound quality for the price and by far, the most durable I’ve ever owned. The day before yesterday, the left side began cutting in and out. This only lasted about 2 minutes and then they were back to normal. Little did I know, that was the last time I would use them because they wouldn’t charge after that. I might bury them.

I like cordless in-ear, around the neck buds. I’ve almost exclusively used Skullcandy because of the price and ratings. Ink’d, Smokin’, Method. They worked well enough and some lasted longer than others.I usually buy 2 at a time and my last two Skullcandy didn’t last long. I’m almost 60yo. I’m not rough on them but I use them a lot. So I decided to look around. These are just as comfortable…probably but what I noticed is how easily these connect to my iPhone. You turn these on and “bam” you’re connected. I knew I had to mess with Skullcandy’s a lot to get them connected.

These look like what I've been waiting for but...Do they have aptx? I can't find the full specs anywhere online

Thanks for your question. It's a pity the headphones can't support aptX, while they can support SBC. Thanks for your time. Please feel free to contact us if any questions you have.

Are these held together magnetically? If not, do the ear pieces dangle awkwardly?

Yes on both counts. They do attach to each other magnetically, but the cords are pretty long so they're still kind of awkwardly dangly

could you attach them at the back of your neck so they don't dangle when not in use?

Yes, you can make use of the magnetic adsorption to join both earbuds ends together and attach them at the back of your neck.

how many hours to talk on the phone ?

Probably about the same as if you're playing music at a moderate level on normal bass mode. The 24 playback time is strongly influenced by how loud you have them turned up and what bass mode its in. I haven't used them much for calls but they lasted a 9 he shift at work playing music constantly and loudly on normal bass mode then another 5hrs of watching YouTube once I got home. They stayed on while I slept and then the the next day without charging lasted another 10hrs at work playing music with a 30min call on my lunch. Once I got home they said battery lever low but went another 2hours with the volume and bass down and still never died. I'm sure they were close. So they went about 26hrs of actual play time and a about 6 hours of idle while I slept. In other words I'm sure thr talk time will easily last 22-28hrs of constant talk. They kick was!

Does it come with a charging cord?

Yes, it comes with a USB-C cable for charging.
