I bought this to replace one our two Plantronics Explorer E50 (that got chewed up by our dog) since visibly and dimension-wise it appears to be somewhat of a clone of the E50 with an almost identical ear-hook attachment and placement method and switch locations. The rubber ear piece was turned at an odd upward angle and glued in place (the E50 piece is parallel with the body), but i was able to carefully remove the rubber and cleared away the silicone adhesive then just snapped the rubber over the groove and it’s staying in place, and now i can rotate it to a more comfy position to match the E50 The build quality is not as good as the Plantronics E50 or M50 as expected, but should be adequate. To adjust the volume when on a phone call or when listening to music, you repeatedly click the volume buttons. When you reach maximum volume, you’ll hear one faint beep. To skip to the next song press and hold the rear volume button. To pause a song tap the round multi-function button, and tap again to resume. To replay a song, press and hold the front volume button. It wont however skip back to a previous song but none of my other earpieces do that anyway. Pandora sounds decent on this Vox 55. Sound quality on phone calls is clear and is almost as good as the E50, but the maximum volume level is about 15% lower than on my E50 so it works better in my home than in my car.I also bought a Jabra Talk 35 – the volume on that is somewhere between the VOX 55 and E50/M50 and sound quality is good, and the switches have a similar layout, but the ear hook is a little flimsy and is located differently but still fits my ear well and is comfortable. Either one of these are a decent alternative to the discontinued Plantronics M50 and E50. The Toorun M26 gets an honorable mention too.

It does the job, battery last all day with me, sound is not that great specially for music, for this price I was not expecting much anyway .For the money is very good.

Cheaply made low sound does not fit well in your ear not worth the money

  8. Waddell N.

Full volume when driving and can barely hear the chat. It needs to be louder

  9. Cynthia S.

Except for the battery life, this product is crop. It is a total waste of money. The volume is very low and it cannot be turned up or down from the device. It keeps disconnecting on it’s own. When connected to 2 devices, while speaking on 1 device you CANNOT take a call on the other device through the handsfree. The only thing that is good about it is the battery life and while giving the battery life 5 stars the other categories deserves 0 star.

No way to increase the volume

  11. anthony wilson

Volume is very low even when turned up fully and battery is only 7 hours talk time but overall not a bad choice

    Good

This is a great replacement for the Plantronics, earpiece is set up for left ear, if it was turned straight it would work better for both ears, I took it off and ripped some of the rubber and re glued it hope it stays on. Other than that it is exactly what I was looking for.

    It’s a little big.

I’ve had Plantronics Explorer 50s forever. They worked well and the fit is so comfortable, I often forget I’m wearing it.This headset is not an E50, but it’s the closest I’ve found.Sound quality isn’t great, but usable. To anyone getting “low volume” out of it, check your phone settings. There is a setting that will dampen loud noises and this setting was the issue for me. Once I disabled it, the volume of this headset was fine.Lastly, the earpiece is glued on. You can remove it, but it leaves bits of rubber behind. This can be a problem when you want to swap to the smaller one, just know that the swap is permanent, since you will tear the larger one, when you remove it….because they glued it on. :|However, with the smaller ear piece cap (rubber piece), the headset fits my ear much better. For all the pros and cons, I ended up buying 2 of these. One for the office and one for home/car and in the week or so I’ve used this model, it’s been a reasonable replacement.

I’m very pleased with this BluetoothI’m more pleased with the way the hook over the ear is made.

    Announce callers name?

Hello, Please note that our headset Vox 55 will give you information about the phone number that's calling you and NOT the name of the person (even if you have it saved in your contacts). Thank you!

Where the ear hook meets the base, it is lose and it doesn't stay in place. I have gifted this Bluetooth a few times. Does that happen to everyone?

I had the same problem with this bluetooth. It is heavier and feels bulky. Doesn't stay in place in the ear. The buds don't fit the natural ear. I only kept it as a back up. I use the Plantronics E50. The most comfortable bluetooth for the ear in my opinion.

    Does this play music?

I don't know. But I am not pleased with it at all. I keeps disconnecting with the phone. It sounds tinny.

Here recently purchased 3 ot the Tellur Vox 55,and none of them worked. Not wanting a refund, just wanting to replace them with new ones?

Mine fell apart and requested a return and refund. I returned and still no refund weeks later.

How does one remove the earpiece? (It comes with a replacement so I assume it is replaceable, but cannot figure out how to take off the current one.)

Hello, Just remove the earpiece from the headset and then you replace it with the new one from the package. Thank you!
