As a new parent, I worry about SIDS very much. This device monitors baby’s realtime breathing, sleeping positions, temperature and alerts you when something wrong happens to your baby. It gives me great peace of mind and finally I can get some sleep now. If you are looking for a SIDS monitor I would highly recommend this one. It is affordable, easy to use, and comfortable for the baby.

  2. yag_04

Every new parent should have this! It is easy to set up and use. I used to worry about SIDS and always woke up to check baby’s breathing. Now the Sense-U alerts me when something is not right when baby is sleeping. I feel great peace of mind and finally I can get a peaceful night sleep now, which is priceless! Strongly recommend Sense-U to all new parents!

  3. adrien.pan.usa9

This definitely gives me great peace of mind. The device is easy to snap on and off, and doesn’t seem to bother my baby to sleep at all. The app is straightforward and easy to use. More importantly, I can check my baby’s breathing and sleeping positions on smartphone, and get alerts when something needs my attention. I feel great peace of mind and finally I can sleep better now. Worth the money and would definitely recommend it.

My original review of this product was very poor. It had connectivity issues and false alarms constantly. It would read for 5 min and then go off. The breathing portion would always only read about 9-12 breaths/minute. It just didn’t seem right. The company reached out to me, offering a refund and replacement. I declined refund but wanted to give the product another shot. They sent a new one within a day! I’m glad I tried again. After using for 3 nights, I haven’t had to mess with placement of the product and haven’t had one false alarm. My first review was 1 star, but their customer service is great and has no issue making things right. This monitor works great, so long as you get a working one.

The original model had several issues, but we are much more pleased after trying an updated version. It is working well, not sending false alarms, and stays connected to the mobile app better.

  7. Phatsmackeyluv

I had a little trouble figuring out how to connect it every night…turns out you just need Bluetooth and GPS on. No need to resync or double shake every night! I tested the not breathing function by removing it from my daughter’s chest and sure enough, a loud alarm went off. I love that it shows you her temperature and what side she is laying on. Really gives a piece of mind for a new mom and dad.

I’ve only been using this for a little under a week but I’m sooooo happy with it! I was worried I wouldn’t be able to sleep at all with my newborn preemie but this give me the peace of mind to rest! I’ve tested to make sure it works by setting it off to the side while on and it gives a loud alert for breathing if it doesn’t detect any motion. It also does a gentler alert for being on belly. I haven’t tried much with temperature. Def make sure the baby is wearing snug clothes or swaddled tightly to prevent false alarms but I highly recommend this!

  9. Chihang

I was not sure what to make of the device at first, since I had already invested in other smart devices that function similar to the Sense-U. The biggest difference in this device is that it’s incredibly easy to put on the infant/baby. The instructions states that the device should be installed by the infant’s belly button and between a thin piece of clothing. The entire process from start to finish (including Bluetooth pairing) took less than a few minutes. What’s even better, the device stays on the infant/baby throughout the night no matter how much he moves.More than anything though, this device provides me with the peace of mind during my baby’s sleep and I’m glad I purchased it. I would recommend this device to any parents.

So happy I found this before spending $300 on the popular alternative! I’m a first time mom and was always so nervous when my infant slept at night that I’d stay awake to watch her more than I slept. This monitor is smaller than I expected which is awesome and monitors her breathing just fine! I also like that it will alert me if she rolls over. I wish I got it right when she was born because it’s perfect for my peace of mind.***update***Since this works by Bluetooth, you have to be near your baby for it to work. So if I put her for a nap upstairs and want to go downstairs, the app and device unpairs. I don’t regret the purchase since I use it mainly for night when she’s sleeping in her bassinet next to us, but new buyers should be aware. Also, if you notice the breaths aren’t being measured, email their customer service. They helped me adjust the settings very quickly.

We just had a baby that was in the NICU for 43 days. We have both an owlet and the Sense U. Unfortunately the Owlet is still too big for our little preemie, so the Sense U has been a life saver! We are definitely happy we bought this product and it does well for us.My only complaint would be that it’s not rechargeable and it can only be synced to one device at a time.

  12. Amy

Although a little pricey, this device puts my mind at ease. I can go to sleep at night not having to check on my newborn to see if she was breathing. I can check the app and see without worries. It also alerts me when she gets on her stomach (she likes to sleep on her side a lot) which makes me not having to worry about SIDS. The battery lasts for about 3 weeks before having to be replaced, but we also have the app running all the time on an old i phone we had.

  13. TAYLOR & KATIE

We are due in 4 weeks and I wanted to make sure I had the Sense-U up and running before the baby arrived. There was an easy set-up (under 10 minutes) and when “trying” it out on myself the phone app was very accurate in detecting movement, roll-overs and temperature. This is the peace-of-mind we were looking for with our first baby. Feeling positive about using this when the little one arrives.

I really like the concept of this device. It does give me some piece of mind especially being a first time parent. I particularly like the breathing alert along with the temperature alert. Their are a few things I do not like. You must be within blue tooth range so you can only monitor baby if you are close by.- Also if you close the app the monitoring stops. Having the app running burns my battery quickly.- if you have your phone on do not disturb or vibrate it won’t sound the alerts. It’s a good device but I just wish it would still give notifications without the app being open like almost all my other apps do.I also wish it was able to monitor from multiple phones so my husband can view as well not just 1 phone at a time. For the temperature I was trying to figure out what settings to put it to. All the app says is recommended +/- 6f which doesn’t really help answer the question.I also would like to see a breathing graph added to the app so I can view my Baby’s breathing patternsMy recommendation for future updates would be for the breathing alerts be separate. The fast breathing and no breathing alerts. I wish I could turn off the rapid breathing but it would turn of the breathing alert all together. I was constantly getting alerts for rapid breathing especially during those first few weeks when my daughter was born. For me the rapid breathing was normal for her so I just needed the no breathing detection
