This headset is decent. It offers a good resolution per eye, but for me the focus was off slightly unless looking exactly at a word even if it is all displayed on one screen. Refresh rate needs improvement to help make things appear more life-like while in gaming. It may not all be the headsets fault, it is also likely that VR is not quite where it needs to be from a software standpoint I’d look for a 120Hz refresh rate and either a 5k or 8k display if you are seeking a more “real life-like” experience. Also need to make sure your PC is capable of running VR, minimum RTX 3060 TI, 64 Gb ddr3 or ddr4 ram, either dual xeon or core i7 or i9 processor, and nvme m.2 ssd, with display port and usb-c

I was able to use this headset for about 1 month. It worked with my laptop, but when I tried it with my BRAND NEW gaming desktop this week, NOTHING I tried would make it work. Got “Error Code 1-4” from Windows Mixed Reality…over and over and over. Turns out, MANY MANY people have had connectivity issues with the HP Reverb G2 for YEARS. I bought this thing on the many great reviews it received for use with flight sims. Little did I know it wouldn’t work with a state of the art (i9 12900KS, 32GB DDR5 6000, RTX 3090ti SUPRIM X) computer. A HUGE THANK YOU to the man who helped me at Amazon. He tried many ways to get through to HP. Alas, their customer service is even worse than their product! In the end, since my purchase was outside the return window, I had to eat a restocking fee, taxes, and an adapter (WHICH WAS NOT INCLUDED), totaling $100. I will NOT buy anything HP again. Junk!

The product was received in good order, but not without issue. The seller needs to stay on top of their communications if customers are experiencing problems with shipments. They could also benefit from some quality control improvments so their customers are not unnessesarily tracking another customers parcel. Everything worked out in the end and the item was as advertised. Thank you.

The headset although lacking in FOV, is great providing great visuals, audio, and comfort but the controllers are just absolutely garbage loosing tracking when the controllers are at your sides and sometimes in perfect view of the camera. I am looking to get the Valve Index controllers and pairing it up with this headset because for my application these controllers don’t cut it.

It blows my mind entirely how bad the reviews are for this headset. It gets a bad rap, and as far as my experience goes, the headset has been the polar opposite of bad. It’s incredibly sharp – making it perfect for PC VR, particularly for playing simulators of all kinds. The initial setup was fine, the installation went off automatically and without a hitch or hiccough. The tracking is more than sufficient for my purposes (Microsoft Flight Simulator and DCS). The sound from the earphones is excellent. I would recommend this headset to anyone who is a simulator enthusiast, or otherwise inclined toward PC VR.

I assume the reason is due to my graphics card not being with the requirements needed so it doesnt render the visuals at all. Need to buy one before i update the review

The headset itself is great, with almost no screen door effect and amazing sound quality. It’s also very comfortable and blocks out all light from entering. The bad part of the vr is the controllers. They have terrible tracking for games like shooters. They often loose tracking when going behind you where the cameras can’t see. This headset would be great for games where your hands are always in front of you like beat saber. Another bad this is the FOV, the fov is how much you can see side to side and up and down. While the hp reverb has a small fov compared to the valve index. Also the microphone quality is pretty bad. And after a short time of use the left headphone started to make static noises when loud high pitch noises would play.

The plus: Excellent with MSFS 2020. Great resolution, good sound and microphone, nice fit on the head. The Cons: After 6 months of use, the cable failed, and I had to purchase a new one for $100.The design is really not that great. What happened to me, happened to my wife’s cousin who bought it at the same time than me. His failed a month ago.Another con: HP dropped the manufacturing of this headset, which means no improvements whatsoever.

Some things are more complicated with the system ui but overall works great and fun to play on. Graphics are amazing on my 3060 ti.

Arrived fast, was fully sealed with all original seals and protective films in place. It’s a really version 2, it comes with a new cable with connector box, power button and power injector via separate power adapter. All works fine so far.

So far, so good. I’m currently using this with my Vive lighthouses, trackers and index controllers with Open Playspace Calibrator.
