Excellent headphones for the money. Very good sound and bass for their size. However after a few weeks they bugged out and each piece became like a separate device and I couldn’t get both to play at the same time. Keep the manual. You have to un-pair them from your phone. Then pair them with each other (clicking the button on one or both of them at the same time) then pair them again as one unit. You know you have this problem when they show up as TWO devices on your phone. A common fault actually on many brands. Can’t fault them for this, just a side effect of Bluetooth technology.

These are a typically great JBL product at their price point; the sound quality is very good for a value earbud. I find there to be an appropriate balance of treble/mids/bass out of the box, and I think that the highs are super crisp and bass can really boom. I find that they fit and seal well to stay snug in place and provide great passive noise-cancellation to block ambient sound. They’re a little large, but I don’t wear them for fashion, and I’m guessing the size helps with sound quality and power, as well as battery capacity. The battery life is very good, and it recharges quickly. I also personally prefer the hard button on the buds rather than a touch button. Overall, I really like these, especially having gotten them on a half off sale.However, I have 3 surprising issues with them I wish I’d known before buying… Lack of volume control, no incompatibility with the JBL app, and the case size/lack of lid.First, the buttons on the earbuds can’t control volume, which makes absolutely no sense. Other JBL and earbud products allow volume control on one earbud and playback control on the other. These have the exact same functions on both left and right, which seems like a wasted opportunity. Also, that means the volume is entirely dependent on the source/playback device, and if the output from there is too loud/quiet for your preference, well…. you’re stuck. With my phone, these earbuds were VERY loud even on the lowest volume setting possible. NOTE: I have a Samsung Galaxy (Gen 8), so I was able to go in and mess with the stock Samsung equalizer (Sound Settings > Advanced Sound Settings > Sound Quality and Effects) to turn the decibel levels way down and make them usable in all ambient settings. I was unsurprisingly unable to do this on my iPhone 11, though, as its Music EQ is very basic…. Android wins again! Regardless, I’ve read other customers have the same but opposite issue, where the earbuds are too quiet on the highest volume setting. Avoidable and frustrating, but potentially a work around for some…. The second problem is that there’s no compatibility with the JBL app, which means you can’t customize the EQ sound profile on less funtional playing devices (ahem, iPhone…) like you can with most newer JBL headphones, nor adjust the volume further, which is a feature I’d really appreciated with other JBL products. Lastly, a small thing: I find the charging case to be unnecessarily large and its lack of a lid a little unsettling. If the size means the charging capacity is greater, then that’s fine, and the magnet is very strong and seems to hold them in well enough upside down and even when shaken violently, but the case is bigger than I want for pants pockets and I can see the earbuds being knocked loose and falling out in a bag/purse with other items.In all, a solid buy, but there may be a newer version or another JBL product with similar sound/quality that have earbud volume control, app compatibility, and a better/smaller case that’d be preferable.

These are VERY convenient for my personal use and work usage. I get great sound when listening to music and I get great audio, along with microphone clarity with my customers, on phone calls.Now noise cancellation is a “relative term”. Sure, these noise cancel other sounds going into your ear, as long as you have the right sized ear bud in your ear. Everyone has a different ear orifice, so it now becomes a “relative” sound cancellation.The only other thing is, the pod or earbud holder, does not have a cover for it, so the actual earbuds are only held by the magnets in the pod and the earbuds.This does not bother me, so I am fine with it.My favorite thing is the simplicity of the earbud button functions. It does not matter what side earbud you use, they are the same for phone calls and playing music on you phone.Great product! I have MULTIPLE JBL products, from the FLIP and a subwoofer for my theater sound at home.

After about four months of using it with my Apple iPhone and laptop, these earbuds are wonderful! I felt like I definitely had to leave a review. They connect easily and fast as soon as they’re inserted and my media/video doesn’t pause. I’ve dropped my left one in the sink once with water running, and I thought I’d have to buy new ones but the muffled sound cleared up on its own in just some hours, and they both still sound brand new a month after the accident. There’s been multiple times when someone was talking to me behind me or in my peripheral and I didn’t hear a thing until they tapped me, so noise cancellation is wonderful even without audio playing. They’re nice and snug and is definitely made for smaller ears (although my ears sort of had to get used to them)!There’s only tiny errors with this brand and they’re not even significant enough to acknowledge, it’s definitely top brand.

Ok,so first of the sound and volume for the price.depending on what artist from what Era on what platform will make all the difference..I play music from iTunes and YouTube mostly and the same songs will hit harder bass wise depending on the digital uploading …like redman,childish Gambino,rza or 2 live crew hits, hard AF with the bass while some other songs on the same album don’t it’s weird but not the earbuds fault.on the flipside when I’m listening to death,pantera,obituary or older slayer it goes pretty hard but I wish I could go louder but it is pretty damn loud…there’s a few apps that have EQs, extra volume and bass that work good for that tho so for the price you aren’t going to find much better earbuds………The bad is Volume has to be adjusted on the device which is the dumbest sh”t ive ever seen in 20023 and no touch sensitive controls??? Dumb,real dumb and no support from the jbl app made me want to pass and will have most people pass too which is stupid on jbls part…and look the TOZO t6 buds have all that and different colors for even less than these but the lack of acceptable volume made me send them back before 8 knew about others EQ appsSo for yard work and long sculpting sessions they work amazing and sound really good to me at this price and I’m 48 and have listened to all my music really loud for really long ……oh and the noise canceling ain’t no joke if you turn the volume to its lowest setting regardless of the music and someone talks to you?well good luck because I couldn’t hear most of it so I had to pop a bud out😂😂….also you can go to one bud if you need it for calls and need a free ear open and still listen to music….look they’re good for the price and you’ll be happy

Reviews said there was no cover but I figured others said the magnet held them in pretty good. They are correct! the magnets are pretty strong and under normal conditions they should hold alright. Yes you can only change volume on the device their connected to, not a deal killer but would be better to do it on the headphones somehow. I used them on a flight to and from Mexico and they weren’t terrible in the listening to the movie department. The battery lasted both to and from (3 hour flight each way) because I didn’t recharge them while on vacation. On the way back after watching a movie I left them in my ears with no music and no movie and didn’t do to bad keeping the airplane noise down to a minimum. They really aren’t that bad I just expected more being JBL than what they are and the price wasn’t bad either.

These are good earbuds however I was a little dissappinted that the case had no lid although I should have realized that in the photo so not the sellers fault, but also I figured for the price they have more lights like to show how much battery life the case has left but they don’t, also no touch controls my 60$ earbuds have touch control but these don’t and one more thing is the sound now the sound is very good but I feel like they could have more bass but each to their on when it comes to that.
