The Garmin 010-13118-00 HRM-Pro Plus is a premium chest strap heart rate monitor that is perfect for fitness enthusiasts who want to track their heart rate accurately during their workouts. This heart rate monitor comes with dual transmission technology that provides accurate heart rate data to a range of compatible Garmin devices, fitness equipment, the Tacx Training app, and other apps. It also captures running dynamics such as vertical oscillation, ground contact time, and stride length, which helps improve your form and enables running power on your compatible Garmin watch.
For indoor runs, the HRM-Pro Plus sends pace and distance data, making it an ideal companion for treadmill or indoor track workouts. The heart rate strap is equipped with ANT plus and BLUETOOTH Low Energy technology, which transmits real-time heart rate and heart rate variability data to compatible devices. It also stores heart rate data during swimming or out-of-reach activities and automatically sends it to compatible Garmin watches.
The HRM-Pro Plus includes activity tracking for steps, calories, intensity minutes, and all-day heart rate, and updates all Garmin devices via the Garmin Connect app and TrueUp feature. The small and lightweight heart rate monitoring module is no wider than the strap, and the tool-free quarter-turn battery door is easy to use and improves durability. The battery life lasts up to one year, making it a reliable companion for your fitness journey.

Solid heart rate monitor! So far I’ve used it for runs, the gym, and bike rides. On average I use 6 times a week. Haven’t experienced any pinching of the skin like some others have posted. The data synchs to Nike Run Club, Strava, and my Apple Watch with no issues. After each use I rinse with cold water and hang dry. Haven’t tested it out in open water swims yet.

I’ve been using Garmin watches for the past 6 years, and also picked up their running pod (the one that clips on the back of your shorts). Unfortunately, the pod kept losing signal to my watch, which would screw up my pace and distance measurements, and I want to get credit for EVERY step I take! Knowing that the optical HR sensor on the watch still has some inaccuracies, AND wanting to ditch using the pod, I upgraded to this heart monitor. So far I’ve worn it on two runs, for a total of 12 miles and a little over 2 hours of use. It is definitely more accurate that the running pod since it sits just below your sternum, PLUS has easy access to your heartrate. Once the band warms up to your body temp, you don’t really notice it’s there unless you think about it. The band is nice and adjustable, but getting the ‘right fit’ might take a little bit the first time.Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase, and look forward to using it on all my future runs!

It’s a very good product. I’ve just have some connections issues when I do indoor cycling and try to use more devices simultaneously

Connects really well, strap is comfortable. Provides lots of metrics when used in conjunction with a smart watch. Pricey..but worth it so far

I’ve been using it for 3 weeks including a strenious 15 miles hike. One problem reported in a number of review was that the plastic hook has sharp edges which dig into the skin. May be this person got a defective one? In mine both hook and buckle which regulates the length are very smooth(photo of the hook attached), the flap protects well and I didn’t experienced any discomfort even after wearing it continously for a number of hours. With regard to complaints that strap is too short, I am 5’7 wear size M, the steap is adjusted to be 33″ length and it fitd me comfortably, There about 9-10 inches left for extension. So it may be too tight for very big people.I am somewhar disappointed that the strap is integrated with the sensor, so if the strap is too worn out / loses elasticity/ doedn’t fit well it can’t be changed, ( unlike Polar straps which can be purchased separately in at least two sizes and easily reattached to the Pole sensors. I think it’s a major design flow.Another complain was that the battery change is difficult and the sensor doesn’t work good after it. It has yet to be seen as I’ve been using it less than a month.I think measurments are quite good and it measures few parameters, not only heart rate. I didn’ perform the check to comlare it with couple of other sensors I have, one of them Scosche optical Rythm.

Tried a Wahoo Ticker, was amazed when, after five minutes into my ride with no heart rate showing, it showed as 202, dropped almost instantly to 194, then settled at 84, 85, 86. Garmin products, in my experience, connect well with Garmin products, and report accurately

Excellent HR monitor, easy to pair to my Garmin Fenix 6X pro, and garmin connect.Very comfortable to wear, I forget it’s on during my long runs, and the data it records seems endless. Great HR monitor, especially for those who love to anaylise their work outs.

Easily adjustable and comfortable even after wearing for several hours. Easily pairs with my other garmin devices and zwift.

Very happy with the HRM. It’s accurate, connects to multiple devices, does running metrics, and will record steps, heart rate, intensity minutes when you’re not wearing your watch. Each morning I’ll put this on for an hour while I charge my watch, it gives my wrist a break and I don’t miss steps. A good solution to the itchy wrist caused my ALWAYS wearing you Garmin watch. Be warned that some features don’t work with all watches. It does heart but not much else with my Venu. Luckily I got it to go with my Forerunner and Edge. Great HRM, would recommend.

I have used this for over 2 weeks and accuracy of Garmin HRM is very precise.Only concern I had was disconnecting from my Nordictrack treadmill few times during the workout.
