I bought the gloves because I had two nasty cuts in quick succession from a cheese grater. Anyone who has had injuries to their fingers know how difficult it is to continue to do every day activities and meal preparation, while still protecting your wound. I received the gloves quickly after my order and pressed them into use immediately that evening. I am most impressed. My fingers/hands were protected from my very sharp grater and knife while I prepared dinner. I bought two pairs, one to keep and one to give as a gift. I am now going to buy a third pair in a larger size for a friend who also likes to cook, but, suffers from occasional run-ins with mandolines, graters and knives. Great porduct!

These gloves are a perfect fit and work amazingly well, especially considering the reasonable price. I am a hobbyist woodcarver and frequent cuts are relatively common problem for woodcarvers. Since wearing these gloves, I have yet to have any cuts or injuries from my hobby and I can’t imagine going back to carving without them. These gloves took maybe an hour or so to get used to; just retraining the muscle memory because they add a small amount of thickness to your fingers. I haven’t had any issues with grip, even when using palm tools like chisels or gouges. These are also very comfortable and do not make my hands too hot.For transparencies sake, I payed full price for this product and am not being compensated in any way, nor do I know the manufactuere of these gloves. Just really enjoyed the product and thought I’d provide some support for a great company making something that I use on a daily basis.

The gloves gave my fifteen year-old grandson the added confidence to shuck oysters for the first time. He’s been eating raw oysters for years and loving them so I ordered some fresh raw oysters form Massachusetts (we live in Houston) for his fifteenth birthday. Up until now he had only dealt with oysters already opened like you get in restaurants. He took to it like a champ after his father showed him how. Thanks NoCry! (After opening three dozen, they will definitely need a good washing!)

Unfortunately, I didn’t carefully read the product sizing information before I ordered my gloves, and after receiving them, I realized that the ones I hadordered were too big! Information on the company and the gloves’ possible uses was sent with them, so it was easy to contact them. I emailed asking how to go about trading in for a smaller size. I received a reply within 24 hours telling me that they would send the correct size immediately! Sure enough, I recieved them within a couple of days after giving them the information they needed (size & order #). Raino was very pleasant and helpful throughout the short process! I used the gloves yesterday when I had grate some cheese and they worked perfectly! They were comfortable and prevented my knuckles from getting grated! I’ve only had them for a few days, so I can’t rate them on durability or ease of cleaning, but the material seems that it will last and all seams are well sewn! Thank you NoCry! I will recommend your company and product to my friends!

Since I wasn’t sure what cut level 5 was (on what scale was my first question), I looked it up and found that the only level of higher protection available is actual chain mail. Now, the other bit of info I think is important to know is there is disagreement about how “Certified EN388 Level 5 cut protection rating” is not created equal. Just search the term and you will get more than you’ll want to read. However, all that being said, I went ahead and bought the gloves. They are a true fit (the palm measurement provided works) and they are flexible to work with. I’ve tested them a little bit with gripping my knives, which I sharpen after each use, and they seem to do the job. The only thing I can’t advise here is if they save you with a big chop or rapid mandolin action. Should that accident happen, I’ll add to this review. But the bottom line is I’m glad we have them, and they do add more protection and confidence to kitchen tasks.

I initially ordered a size medium as I have arthritis and swollen knuckles. When they arrived, I found they were too big and the fingers were too long. I posted a review to this effect and the day I sent it back to Amazon, I received an email from the seller stating they were going to send me another pair in size small, free of charge. They also told me that I don’t need to return the original pair. I’m glad I did as they can sell it to someone else. The new pair arrived within a few days and it fits perfectly now. I am so happy I made this purchase. Last summer I sliced off a chunk of my thumb using the mandoline. I will never have to go to the Emergency room for doing this again! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to the sellers of this wonderful product. It is a great product and your customer service is unbeatable! I am so happy!

Despite some of the reviews I’ve read, these gloves have stopped everything I have touched with them on. I use them in my woodworking shop where I have touched my belt sander with my fingers and I still have all my finger prints and nails. I am also a green horn knife smith and to this day I have not gotten a cut while wearing them. I even touched the blade on my table saw about a week ago, these gloves kept my thumb from injury except for a bruise!!!! Ruined my gloves, but not my hand, I ordered 2 more pair after that, and will always keep them on hand. DO NOT TRY THIS! I WAS VERY LUCKY!!! Thank You NO-CRY!!!!!!

After buying the High quality Hessler very high quality and sharp knives, the safety of my fingers was the biggest concern. So i decided to buy those gloves. They looks good and save you from accidentally cutting yourself.Just a caveat: Don’t try to intentionally test them, the knife may poke your gloves or try to life ot tough hot objects. They are not made for handling hot stuff. Decent buy for your cutting needs in kitchen.

These fit well, are not too thick to prevent you from performing work, diminish cuts to your skin. I keep my razor sharp knives clean. These gloves have kept me fro having to remove my blood from the blades. You can hold, handle and make the occasional mistake while wearing these with confidence. These are not Superman gloves. A direct impact from the point of a knife, I suspect the motorized turkey knives and any aggressive knife impact WILL pierce these gloves and your skin. These won’t save you if you try to stop a knife fight, catch a shark with your hands, or try to calm down my Italian wife. Good gloves for normal use. Push your luck at your own risk.
