I am a huge fan of Columbia products for an outdoor lifestyle and have several that are many years old due to the high quality of all materials used. Their Omni-heat technology is a genius invention and keeps my core toasty warm without overheating or added bulk. This vest is fabulous worn over a long-sleeve shirt or fleece (I highly recommend the Columbia Glacial Fleece III 1/2 Zip). I wear it everywhere from hiking to the local farmers’ market. It’s effective as well as stylish. When it’s raining, I simply add a Columbia rain jacket with Omni-Tech as my top layer – it adds waterproof comfort with evaporative technology so I stay dry and warm without overheating.

I already own this vest in another color and get good use from it so I bought another one in a different color. Lightweight and thin (so you can layer it under a jacket). When I wear this vest it is usually over a fleece top in cool, but not cold weather. Unfortunately this was way overpriced as it was dramatically less at my local Columbia Outlet.

This vest did not fit me very well. I’m 5’3, about 115lbs, and ordered a small. The vest flared out an excessive amount towards the bottom, even with a sweatshirt underneath. If you have narrow hips, I would suggest ordering down.

Nice vest. For fit: I am 5’5″, 125-130 lbs. I am generally a small in tops and jackets. I got this in an xs and it fits. I have a Columbia omni-heat jacket that I really like, but Columbia items are big around the body for me. I really like the omni-heat items (I have some boots too). Like the jacket, this vest feels light-weight when worn, which makes it very comfortable. It’s just weightless insulation. The omni-heat makes it surprisingly warm – at times. These items are great for cold weather active wear, since they retain your body heat like space blankets. If you are producing any extra body heat, they are like toaster ovens, but they allow your sweat to evaporate better than some heavier items. If you are just sitting around outside, they’re not very warm – at least for me, but I tend to be cold, and by body temp is usually closer to 96 than 98.6. This is a great layer for cold weather trail runs, with just a base layer underneath, or a shell over the top. The silky fabric keeps it from tugging, and it’s not bulky. It’s a nice addition in my office or home in the winter too, when I don’t want another sweater over my sweater. It can definitely up the toast factor. My only complaint is that it doesn’t have a chest pocket, internal or external. I wish this was standard for outdoor gear. If I’m on a run or even a hike, I love to be able to stash items within easy reach, without having to take my camelback off to get inside of it. A chest pocket is the perfect place for my phone, where it’s safer than in a back pants pocket where I could fall on it, so I can take a quick picture and keep going. Or to keep chapstick.

This vest fit perfectly. I own multiple Columbia products and am very satisfied, as usual, with this purchase. I ordered a Medium. I am 5’3″ 145 lbs. with an average to small sized chest.

This is not the most form flattering vest – it’s a bit more boxy than I’d like, but it does have a slight hourglass shape. However, it is SO FUNCTIONAL and warm!!! I just got it a week ago and have worn it almost every day since. I’ve been plenty warm in a long sleeved fleece top and this vest on these 30ish degree Colorado days. I have no regrets about buying it and would definitely buy again. I’m 5’8 / 130lbs with an athletic frame and got the size small. It fits with some extra room so I can comfortably wear a sweater or hoodie underneath.

Vest fit as expected. Got several compliments, nice and light weight and soft.

Nicely fitted – shaped but not too tight, very flattering. I had expected more of a white color but this is definitely light grey, but I like it anyway. Lightweight but warm, good value compared to higher end outdoor brands.

This is a fashionable and warm vest. I love the color.
