I use this when walking my dog early morning when it is still dark. I need to see what she is sniffing in the grass and the light helps me see what is ahead of us on the sidewalk. I either clip it to my pants or my treat/poop bag pouch and it stays put.

This light is BRIGHT! I clip it on my waist band (with the magnet and it stays put for my 4-6 mile runs)- it lights the road in front of me and it makes me very visible to cars. I love that is is rechargeable and I can use my cell phone USB port in my car to charge it. So far I have used it twice for 45 minute runs and have not charged it in between.Great purchase for me!

This product did not function as advertised. I expected the light to project downwards as in pictures. Unfortunately, though bright, it did not project downwards but simply straight forward. I purchased this for a Ragnar trail event where I used it during the night run. In the end, the headlamp I used along with a handheld flashlight were the two light sources that worked the best. If the light was somehow projected from the bottom (rather than front), this would probably work splendidly.

I’m a night security guard and I like having a USB rechargeable light available that I can use hands-free. The light itself is very light and the plastic case makes it feel kind of cheap. Most of the weight comes from the magnets in the silicone sleeve. The light is bright enough to see where you are walking if you clip it on your pocket. It seems fairly bright up close but it is not a replacement for a good handheld flashlight. The light it puts out wont light up an area beyond about 15-20 feet. I like the magnets so that I can stick it to something if I need to do detail work in a dim area. The light needs to be taken out of the silicone sleeve to recharge. It came fully charged and I have not had a problem with it self-discharging over a few weeks. I do not like using headlamps, so this is a nice alternative for a hands-free light

I LOVE THIS THING!It stays put on my pants waistband very well. It doesn’t point straight down at your shoes, but it DOES illuminate the ground in front of you… for example, while walking my large dog, if she is in a proper “heel” position with her head even with my leg, she doesn’t get enough light to make a shadow on the ground beneath her, but if she moves forward *just a little*, she has a shadow from the light. Hopefully that helps with the “ground in front of you” question. Basically, you can see the ground IN FRONT OF YOU, but not UNDER you.Speaking of dogs, it’s nice to have both hands free, since a handheld flashlight can be cumbersome when I’m trying to pick up after them on walks.I’ve also used it in a pinch to work under the hood of the car. I wouldn’t use it ALL the time for that, but it worked great. It is *very* bright when set to “high” (to the point that I worry that it is possibly too bright for approaching cars when I’m running against traffic, so I set it to med or low). It stays in place, lights up the sidewalk and street in front of me, recharges, has minimal packaging and has a nice, long battery life (as advertised). I love it!

I was anticipating really liking this product based on the number of positive reviews. I run every morning while it’s still dark and needed a new light to do so and so I purchased this light. I’ve charged it fully each day before heading out and every day it starts to slowly dim and shuts off entirely roughly an hour into my run. It’s possible that I’ve received a unit that’s faulty, but it was disappointing nonetheless.EDIT: 7.13.19 – So after my review, the seller contacted me and made things right with a whole new replacement unit at no extra charge. Understand that my initial review was with regards to the light itself and NOT reflective of Avanto’s customer service, which has been absolutely stellar. So just know that if you order from them and there is an issue with your item they will do their best to rectify it for you. I am impressed with them and special thanks to Kristiina for doing her best to ensure I was a satisfied customer!

I bought one and attached it on my dogs collar. Works pretty good and stay in place even when my dog runs. Now if the collar (strap) is wider than 1.5” inch it won’t be stable.

I bought this light so that I can see in darker areas when I am running early in the morning. I did not want a headlamp as I don’t like the pressure on my head. When I found this, It seemed like the perfect solution and it has been. It’s light weight. I clip it on my waistband and off I go. It’s so light that I don’t even notice it other than for the light it provides me. I has three different brightness levels and a fourth blinking option. I am thrilled with this and would highly recommend it.
