I ordered Avantree HT41866 Wireless Earbuds for TV Listening (Set of 2) with Bluetooth transmitter last November 2021 and it worked so well that I decided to order another set for bedroom TV.When it arrived, one ear bud was defective and was returned for a replacement. The customer service was outstanding. The original set is still working well.

I have a complicated setup with TV, receiver and satellite box, combined with Bose surround system. My problem was my TV optical was being used to supply the receiver and as a test, used it to power the headset. Once I did that, it did not give sound through the headset, even with the USB powered by one port on the TV. I had to cycle the power on the TV twice to get it to work each time. After contacting Avantree I learned I could put a optical splitter in the line, which I did, but the sound would still need a cycling of the TV twice each time. I then moved the USB power to another unit and now it works fine. I may try moving the Avantree transmitter to the 3.5 jack and using Aux. speaker terminals on my receiver to see it that works and then take the optical splitter out, using just the receiver for all the sound. As it is setup currently, I need to have the TV speaker on (albeit lower volume) as well as the receiver audio on through the TV setup in order to have them work.Sound from the headset is OK for what it does. I do like having both headsets and surround sound going at the same time. The headset is just for some of the dialog that always seems muted unless you have the sound system blaring and then when the action comes, it’s just that much louder. Yes, I’m older and have some hearing loss in one ear, but the headsets do little to enhance that issue. You can’t just increase the headset volume and have it be clear. It distorts the sound like an inexpensive set of earbuds would do. You have to find your own comfort level.Fitment of the headset is nice. I like the fact you can take them out of your ear and they will stay with you do to the neck loop, which isn’t a nuisance, and makes it easier to “find”. The bigger problem is the sound volume buttons on the headset. They are tiny and not lit so it’s hard to see them in the dark. You have to remind yourself which one is on which end of the ear set. Also, the power on button is small and you can easily press that if not careful. I plan on putting a spot of bright colored paint on each +/- icon as well as a different dot on the power to make it easier to see. Once you figure them out, it’s not too bad.If I had a wish on this item, it would be having both able to sync to the TV bluetooth without using the transmitter supplied. Contacting Avantree said I can do it to one only. They do have a dual set, with one being the earbud set and over-the-ear set, that is suppose to allow that, but I’ll stick to what we have now.

it was working beautifully with my Samsung but we upgraded TVs to a Sony XBR-75x81ch and the TV would not send audio through the TV speakers if the transmitter was powered on. Disappointing.

Easy to install, sounds good. Comes with various earbuds in different sizes that I did struggle to change as they are a neat fit.

This is the second set of Avantree complete wireless TV set units for listening to the TV via Bluetooth. The first set I got was the Headphone set and this set is the earbud head set. We wanted to be able to have 4 people able to watch the TV and listen with some type of ear piece. Both sets were simple to install. I used the optical cable for both sets. I had more than a few questions and Avantree and I communicated through e-mail. They responded quickly and answered my questions completely. Additionally, they followed up asking if the issues I had were resolved. They were but then I decided to get a second set to hook up to the same TV. I explained I was going to use an optical splitter and again they answered my tech questions thoroughly. When this set arrived they again contacted me to make sure both units worked. Just so anyone reading this knows the splitter worked great and now we have a set of headphones and a set of earphones connected to the TV. I thanked Avantree by e-mail and told them they could close the open ticket I had with them. I would say excellent customer service, above and beyond. Thank you Jeany at Avantree for your follow through. Oh, I thought the sound quality was better with the headphones than the earphones. That’s why I rated them four stars for Sound Quality. Had I not heard the headphones I would have given the earphones a five star rating.

It is important to get a comfortable fit or the inside of your ear becomes sore

Liked that my husband can use the headphones and I don’t have to. But it also works great for both of us when watching movies or shows that have heavy accents. Only negative is that the instructions were not easy to follow. They are written for the tech savvy users. But once we figured out how to use them they worked great.

We don’t have a brand new TV so after trying a few different options, I found these worked best. Nice to have 2 headsets aswell. I use them to watch TV sometimes whilst the kids are busy drawing or playing so they don’t hear the swear words haha

I bought these to use in a house with thin walls, sometimes its a bit if a competition with noise volume. These make it easy to hear my tv and also provide privacy.

The sound is unbelievably, I was so amazed. The sound is so much better then my hearing aides (top of the line) and ear buds Ihave. The volume controls are easy to access and battery life is good.If anything happens to these I will not hesitate buy them again. So Happy!

For two people who want to watch the same television but with independent volume levels these are excellent. I have also used them on Skype calls with the same requirement.

So far it’s been the best earphones for TV. Very easy to connect to the TV and it’s convenient to have volume controls on each device (earpiece). It comes with a variety of cables to charge the pieces or connect the TV. Thanks.

These seem to fade in and out and take considerably time to get connected to the base unit. I don’t recommend buying these.
