Tiny but powerful! Got it for my 11 year old son for Christmas in place of the Gopro 5. The LCD screen is clear and has a touch screen. Very easy to use.My son absolutely LOVES this camera. He was skeptical at first because of the brand. We took it to the pool and got some amazing high quality 4K videos! As a photographer I’m quite impressed with the quality. I love the different lens options. The color is true to life which is very important in digital imaging.I have a few negative remarks related to the Yi App:1. Live mode disconnects when he was underwater. We were afraid it cut off, but it does continue to record.2. The app has some great features, but it was hard to figure out how to save the videos on his iPad. He has to send them to himself via iMessage in order to post on Instagram or Facebook. He gave up after a while.3. Also, you have to connect to the camera’s wifi and go through the record option to access the gallery of videos. Kind of a pain. This is also related to the app. Maybe there’s a way to save them directly, and we haven’t figured it out yet.Otherwise this camera does everything the GoPro can do for half the cost! We are looking forward to getting outdoors and filming our adventures thanks to the Yi 4K action camera. My son keeps thanking me for this gift which means he’s happy and that’s all that matters!

I’d give this camera just above 4 stars. The camera arrived quickly and in excellent condition. No blemishes etc. The touch screen looks bright and clear with no dead pixels and it responds to touch commands quickly. My buddy owns a new version of a different brand of action camera (the big name), and he is jealous now. Half the cost and a touch screen to boot. 4k looks amazing, as does the other resolutions. My only warning, do not stray from the ”approved/supported memory list”. I bought a 64gb lexar 1800x microSD thinking that it could only be better to have 1800x over the listed/supported 1000x. But better isn’t always better. I got multiple SD card read errors, no SD card errors and about half of my files were corrupted from strange reboots and freezes. I replaced this card with one on the supported media page, SanDisk, and all is well again. So read the supported media page and don’t stray. You’ll have a 5stars experience

I got this in Aug 2016 and aside from a BT pairing issue, loved it. Ignored the issue until late Feb 2017 and out of the blue decided to ask to tech support if there was a fix to the issue. Cannot imagine that I would get such great assistance. In a a slew of emails in a day. They decided that I got a defective unit and gave me a replacement. Hats off to Tyler & Duy in Tech Support for their excellent service to their customers.

I tried both SJCAM and YI. This is way better than SJCAM. Go for it. I bought the cover with touch for this from AliExpress, it is not available in India. I would recommend this product. One consistent problem with YI and SJCAM both is that, sometimes you will not be able to shut down it. Just remove the batter and plug it back. It will start to work normally.

This camera has been out for a couple of years but now it comes in at a better price point. Had to get it and for the price I got a selfie stick with remote. Turned mine into a little monopod with some tripod legs. The image quality is excellent. It’s just as good if not better than a GoPro or Sony. Really good options like distortion correction image stabilization etc. The video on this looks great. The audio is good but could have been louder. There is no stabilization in 4k you have to drop to 2.5k but it still looks great. Many reviewers stated in the past that you had to drop to 1080p for IS. They were wrong. Build quality is not as plasticky as some people eluded to. Maybe the white feels better. The selfie stick is nice. Made well it’s not cheapo. The LCD screen is nice as well. Touchscreen works smoothly and is responsive. The overall image quality of this camera is up there. I can’t say enough how good the image quality is. And this camera has been out for several years and no other camera at this price comes close. This is one of the good ones and it has real 4k with IS. The battery lasts longer than most action cams. Really good camera that records footage you can actually use. 1080p 60fps looks great too. There are a lot of ” budget ” action cams that claim to do 4k but its interpolated and looks like 1080p and their 1080p 60fps looks like 720p or less. Really pleased that 1080p 60fps looks the way its suppose to on this camera. Clear sharp and in 1080p you can use distortion correction and image stabilization and low light. Picked up a metal protective case. Great camera. And you dropped the price to $136 shortly after I bought it for $149 … You play that game now instead of pulling the trigger on another one I’m going to wait to see if it drops more. If it doesn’t oh well I’m in no rush and if it goes up I’m not buying it. Next time if you’re going to do a sale stick to a low price and don’t play used car salesman. 🙄And sure enough I waited and it’s only been a couple of weeks you drop the price to $116 w a waterproof case? 🙄 Just make it $99 w a case and call it a day and watch them fly off shelves.

Bought this after reading many great reviews that claimed it’s almost as good as a GoPro Hero 8. Absolute nonsense. Everything about this camera sucks. The biggest issue is the video quality, which is simply terrible: very jerky and staccato whenever the camera is panned. The image stabilization is equally bad. My Google Pixel 2 video quality is a million times better. Updated the firmware to latest version when I couldn’t get it to connect to the phone app and now the wifi won’t even stay turned on. It just times out after about 5 seconds and switches itself off. Followed all the steps online and in the manual and it simply won’t connect (even when no other wifi networks are in range). The camera battery is also very poor…I’ll get hours longer on my Google Pixel phone so I might as well use that. At best, I might get 1 hour of recording out of this thing. They say, buy cheap, buy twice: well after this experience I’ll definitely be going for a GoPro next time. I would return this but by the time I’ve paid for the overseas shipping charges, it probably wouldn’t be worth it. Real shame, I had such high hopes for this camera. Oh, and yes, I installed the best 64GB microSD card that money could buy (from the manufacturer’s recommended list).

Pretty cool camera. You will have to play around with the video settings a bit to see what works best for you. If you want to record at the highest quality settings you will need a very good SD card that writes fast. Otherwise you will get a message saying “Slow card”.

I simply love this camera. I have only used it for one day and I need more practice, but this camera is going to be with me for a while and I am already in love. The image quality is really good. It is user friendly and light. I just need to buy some accessories, download the app, and I will be ready to take it to my most adventurous vacations.

It’s 1/5 of GP 7 but don’t expect 1/5 of quality. It’s a really good cam uf you are just using it for family stuff or personal. If you’re a professional I guess better to go for the most expensive one.
