Idea for the water bottle is a good one. It holds temperature well and is a good water bottle for traveling. Also you can get many UV cycles out of one charge. However, this water bottle isn’t that sturdy. There is this little pin in the cap that acts as a child proof measure that won’t let the UV cycle run unless it is depressed, which normally happens when the lid is screwed on. For some reason, the pin will only depress half the time and I had to unscrew and screw the cap back on multiple times before it let me run the cycle. While I was trying to tighten the lid to get the pin to depress so I could run the cycle, the lid just broke apart and now the water bottle is useless.

I’ve had this bottle for less than a year and the inside charging port broke on both of them. The first time they tried to say I was too rough with the charger, but I plug it in the same as everything else, not aggressively. They did send me a replacement lid, but said they could only do it that one time.

I bought 2 of these, one for my wife and one for me. Mine had a top that would not work so I returned it. The company replaced the item but it was the wrong color. After 2 problems with the product/company, I would caution about purchasing this item. I like the concept of UV cleaned water for travel, but I am not sure how well this will hold up under more strenuous outdoor travel

Easy to use- makes great tasting water FAST! Can’t wait to take this on our up coming cruise. The price was wonderful- when we bought it we couldn’t beat the deal!

I don’t think the water tastes much better and I hate that there is no carrying loop or anything on it to hold it

The most important for users to know, “Is it working?” There is no way to test the water to see if all these so-called bacteria are being destroyed. This is not a question of UV rays killing bacteria, scientifically we know that to be true, but how do we know that these gadgets are actually working? Well we don’t, we have to take the word of the manufacturer. Also, most modern cities have water purifying plants that keep contaminates and bacteria below 250 ppm. Which is the save drinking levels for humans. I could see this being used by hikers and campers, but the main issue still needs to be addressed. In the end as far as I am concerned it’s a gaget that has no place in my home. OR go out and buy a mycroscpe to test the water. 🙂

This bottle is well built, well insulated and absolutely leek proof. I have traveled with it twice now, once on a weeklong camping trip and once on a weekend trip to a major city. Despite my first one being defective, their customer service department replaced the item promptly. My only gripe is the tolerance of the safety switch you have to have the cap screwed on just enough for the product to work. Too tight and it wont work too loose and it wont work. It takes a few tries to find the sweet spot. Fix that problem and they have a perfect product.

It can be used for sterile water for nasal rinses

My main complain about this product and is why it was deducted 1 star ?is it never came with a USB type c charging cable so I had “borrow” someone else’s cable to charge it, So if you don’t have a cable be prepared to purchase one.The bottle itself is a nice shade of black, I’ve been trying so hard to keep this one from scuffing, it’s fallen on cement floor once with very minimal damage. The bottle neck is small compared to most bottles so you’ll need smaller icecubes to fit inside.?Now for the Uv light, it requires the cap to be screwed on tightly to activate but I did do a quick test by activating the switch and seeing if it turns on and it does.Other then the few issues, I do recommend the bottle tho I wish I had a bigger version.

Used for traveling overseas. Helped us in making our drinking water safe. Impure Water is one of the primary cause of sickness. With the use of this bottle we did not have any issue during our 7 weeks of travel.

Good product, but two stars deducted because sensor button that detects “childproof” – tight lid on function malfunctions too often making wasted time trying to get it to work. (You need to get the lid just the right tightness to make it work.)
