I own three ScotteVests and this is by far the best. What a great jacket!

The arms are not that easy to get back on, and one would think they would have a specified pocket to pack into when off. Also, the neck was VERY uncomfortable/stiff, due to having *2* zippers (a rain hood is inside the zippered neck compartment, and then that hood is detachable because it has another zipper inside…both zips stay in neck even when hood is out. ugg)–was not expecting that. Would be better to have a hood sewn onto the removable flap, where it could drape down inside/in between the layers when not wanting to wear it.

It fits generally as expected but the sleeve openings are a bit large and cannot be closed up as much as I’d like. Also with a 9.7″ iPad in the tablet pocket the jacket feels a bit snug. But honestly I do not think I’ll carry the tablet that much anyway. My phone, an ereader, a battery, passport and so much other stuff is easily carried in this jacket. The removeable sleeves work really well and are easy to reattach.

Lots and lots of pockets. Handy pockets that will do well when traveling. Detachable sleeves attached and detached with relative ease. I liked the stowable hood and water-resistance – this makes useful for wearing under a range of weather conditions. It also provided wind-resistance.Now the “almost” parts. The sleeve cuffs are not well-thought-out – there’s not enough hook-and-latch fastener material to really close-up the cuff. The phone pockets do NOT fit an iPhone “plus” model phone, even without a protective case. An iPhone 5 in a Lifeproof case did fit – unfortunately, that isn’t the model I carry. The iPhone 6s+ in Lifeproof case fits in the user-left exterior pocket and in the digital camera pouch. The elastic strap to hold a water bottle seemed to only fit a 500-ml small bottle of water and lacked enough elasticity to accommodate any other bottle system (such as a Vapur bottle or steel bottle). The key strap is also in the same pocket and I would be concerned about having a plastic bottle on top of your keys. The zipper that came with this vest has difficulty unzipping – something that will hopefully work itself out with use (pulling on the bottom of the zipper, zipping up a bit THEN down works – so far). The label on the product says there are two “change pockets” – still trying to find those 😊

Great product, but runs small. I have used SeV products for many years and I have always ordered XL that fit and worked perfectly. This XL is a bit too small so I returned it for an XXL which is a bit big but better too big than too small.

Took the jacket out for a spin yesterday. Amazing how much stuff I can load inside and it doesn’t make me feel like the marshmallow man. Just for reference I had a iPhone, iPad Pro 10.5, Nintendo Switch, 2 pens, 1 water bottle, bunch of keys, power bank, 3 in 1 charging cable, wallet, travel pillow inside at the same time.It was a humid and rainy day so the quick detachable sleeves came off easily when it was hot and relatively quick to put back on when it started to rain. The alignment of the magnets took a few minutes though. The hood worked well and hid away when it was not needed. It would be good if ScotteVest could include a flap on the hood as an eye mask. Overall very pleased with the jacket and would recommend it for people who want to travel “light” without a bag and yet carry your favourite items with you.

First off, this jacket is not worth anywhere near the asking price. If you let me wear this for a day, and asked me how much I thought it cost, I would’ve estimated about half the asking price, maybe even less. That fabric, zippers, etc. are all pretty low quality.I also struggle to see its functionality. It’s too hot for even light activity if it’s above 70F, it’s probably too cold for anything below 50F unless you have a long sleeve layer underneath, and the water resistance is more limited than I expected. It also has a lot of pockets, but I found that most of them are somewhat awkward to access. Removing the sleeves is easy, but putting them back on is a bit more difficult, and I always had to take the vest off to make sure all the magnets lined up correctly. For me, this just doesn’t prioritize the things I value in a jacket.

Very nice vest. I was concerned about the zippers when I read the reviews, however I have found them very good. I picked this model because of the sleeve set up and I am very pleased with them. The only disappointment is that it is warmer than expected and the pockets are smaller, tighter than they need to be. The phone is not opperateable through the “mesh” pocket, it is very easy to read the screen but impossible to effect it and it is so tight that it’s hard to get out when it rings. IPHONE 8+ is the size being used. As I live in south Florida, looking forward to winter to enjoying using it. Suggest that Scottevest produce a single sheet that shows the pockets and what they recommend to carry in in them and what their little symbols mean.
