I was looking to get a backpack for EDC to and from work etc. After doing comparisons of various bags from various manufacturers, I was drawn towards this one because of the USB charge port feature. I figured if I was going to pay 60+ bucks for a bag it should have a geek feature I can appreciate. The bag is well made, has lots of storage space and is built for carrying a laptop. Ironically something I don’t do with this bag since I rely more on my phone that anything else. The part that goes against your back is padded and very comfortable. This section is also cut in such a way that it would slide over the handle of a luggage cart. The tech section in the back most part has pockets for hand held devices. They are perfect holding my iPod Touch gen6, My work cell phone and a Pocket Juice 8000 battery pack. This is the pocket juice that has the built AC prongs. Amazingly the pockets each these as if they were designed for it. If you look at the picture the ipod sits in its pocket snug and the work phone (a Samsung Galaxy Luna with protective case) fits in the other pocket. The 2 handheld device pockets are different sizes. The battery compartment fits the pocket juice perfectly. There is a cable that will connect to the battery that feeds to the USB port on the outside of the bag. This allows to charge a device without having to fish out the battery. The laptop pocket holds up to a 15″ laptop. But it does make the backpack uncomfortable to wear. This section also completely unzips to open the tech section allowing for the bag to lay flat on xray conveyor belts. Also allowing for TSA to have easier access to destroy your laptop. The other compartments:The outer most small pocket at the bottom is great for pens and small items. The next pocket up I use of a first kit and various small items. Contained in that pocket is also the a RFID safe zippered pocket in the flap. I’ve tested it and it does work. You can feel multiple layers in its design. They did not skimp on this one.The small eye glasses or tech pocket is nice for easy access to whatever you put in there. I keep small cables and a flash card reader kit in it.The main cargo pocket is where all my regular stuff goes. My moleskine notebook, portable hard drives, another battery unit, cables and power charger, my RAVpower mini router, an umbrella, other various items and some tools. There are 2 zippered pockets on the sides of the bag that hold quite a bit. and there are compressor mess pockets over them, and these are the thick multi-layer mesh not the cheap “will rip easy” type. As long as you don’t put anything sharp or oversized in them they should hold up fine. I put folded plastic shopping bags in one and a plastic cable cuff in the other. The mesh is so think you can’t even see what is in it.What I don’t like about the bag.The straps. They were not built for comfort. They always feel like they are trying to slide off my shoulders. Even when I pull the adjustments tight. This is something the company should address in the next gen of this product. There is a mesh pocket on one strap. It is a single layer mesh but well made. The carry handle is nice but it does not feel like it is sturdy enough. I haven’t had any problems but I think the handle should be designed so that it ties to overall frame of the bag. That is when holding by the handle it should be supporting the it by body or frame of the bag and not by the top of the bag. It does seem to be well stitched though. So in closing. I am happy with my purchase, the cons are not deal breakers but it would be nice if they fixed them in the next model of this bag. I do really like this bag and sits well on the passenger side on my car when I travel.I do recommend this bag.Pros—–PriceStorage compartmentsConstruction (Well built)RFID blocking compartmentBattery to USB portCons—–Straps should be more comfortable and supportive.Top handle should be sturdier.Jun 2021Addn: After 2 years use, still happy with this bag. It has held up really well.

I started using my bag for work. I can comfortably carry my laptop and folders etc. All good in that department. Only two shortcomings of this bag. It doesn’t have a bottom compartment for me to carry my lunch separately from everything else. This was something my now-discontinued Targus bag had. It also doesn’t have the strap with the clip that goes across my chest to hold it in place, which also adds that extra little security if someone were to try to grab my bag. I still like it though.

I have not been a backpack person since college. I just never thought they gave a professional appearance. After sore shoulders from carrying a bag, my buddy suggested I look at this. I was intrigued by the design and supposed capacity for work, travel …etc. I purchased it for a long vacation and immediately liked it. It is sturdy. Like hold you as you hang from a cliff sturdy. You could fit a toddler, a dog, and a small, yet fully-stocked kitchen in this thing. On the trip it was my overnight bag for several one-night hotel stays holding multiple changes of clothes, two laptops, 2 cell phones, and sundry other items with some room to spare. Disclaimer: I did not pack a toddler or dog in it, and my 10 year old did not fit in the pockets; nonetheless, if you need a sturdy, dependable backpack that looks sleek for work or play, is comfortable to wear with heavy weight, and has a pocket for everything, you can’t go wrong with this one. It is worth it. It’s gone from snow to sand, wind and rain, -15° to 90°+ without fail, and it has become my new buddy. For the thoughtful packer, it might even work as a weekender bag. My buddy has had his for 3 years, and it still works like new. He should do a commercial for this.

I’m running through the airport with my backpack on my back and the zipper busted open in my iPad through across the floor. Good probably just needs better zippers.

Love the brand. Of the six tried, this is the highest quality, best padding for a laptop, well constructed, great zippers, straps. This one was maybe 10% too big and heavy for a traveler like me. Afraid it will take up a little too much space under the seat in the airplane. The USB charger idea is great, implementation is a little awkward for a simple phone battery, so will stick with my portable and plug direct. Now could be excellent for a laptop backup.

I have given 3 of these away as gifts and I use one often. I traveled to Ukraine with this pack not long ago. Long difficult trip and this pack was very handy. A compartment for my laptop, one large compartment for my camera, a secure pocket for my phone battery with charging cable and a few smaller compartments. If you are traveling light there is enough room for a change of clothes and your personal items.
