The media could not be loaded. When this first came in, I was trying to remember if I ordered a necklace because the first thing that I saw when I opened the box was the pendant. Upon looking at the pendant, on the bottom is where the buttons are located to turn this on so I could start recording almost immediately. Even the type C plug is hardly noticeable until you really examine the pendant. When it comes to recording, I’m able to get a clear sound quality whether I wear this around my neck or have it on a keychain. It’s hardly noticeable and actually got compliments on my “necklace” and how different it looks. When it comes to transferring files onto my laptop, I didn’t have to install anything. Once I plug it in, my laptop recognized this as a flashdrive and all I had to do was open the folder and I can just drag and drop files anywhere.

I bought a similar necklace to this that was more of a star David shape or hexagon like prism. This similar necklace was of a much lower quality of build and seemed fragile to me. The major benefit of this heart recorder is since it uses USB type C versus micro-USB which other product used. The main benefit of this product is a superior build quality and that the ports on are covered by a rubber flap that is very well concealed. I think one of the best things too about this product is that’s in the shape of a heart which makes it a good excuse to say that someone’s ashes or remains are in it.I recommend going into the software the device and changing microphone being to lower gain value and lowering the bit rate of the .wave file. usually after I get the dot wave file off the device I use a program called audacity to turn a .opus file seems like the perfect quality for me in particular is 48 kilobytes/bits per second. you can also use this device to put your personal files, this could be for archival purposes and transmission through the sneaker net. If there’s one recommendation that I could make to the manufacturers to make the key ring slightly smaller radius on the heart itself.

This Mini Voice Recorder works exactly like I wanted it to. It’s small and looks like something else. I added it to my key ring and can turn it on without anyone noticing. I had in mind a stop by the police as one possible use. With 8 GB of onboard storage, it should be capable of storing many hours of conversation. It was a little tricky to get set up and you need to read the instructions carefully. First you need to charge it with the included USB C cable while the unit is turned off. Then you can disconnect it and turn the slide switch on. After the little red LED light goes out, it should be recording. Slide the switch off and it stops and saves the recording as a file. Now you need to plug it back into your PC with the USB C cable and look in the File Explorer for a drive that says “VOICE”. Now you should be able to open the folder and see the files containing your recordings. They can be played right off the device, or copied to another folder for later listening. You can optionally delete these files from the device after copying them to free up space for new recordings. That’s it.I can’t say how long the internal battery lasts yet, but it should handle a few hours worth of recordings. I also can’t say how long this should hold up in my pocket with all my keys, but it looks pretty sturdy. If it captures a few valuable conversations, it will have served its purpose.

Okay purchase for computer literate people, I wanted something more plug and play. It is pretty heavy (you know what it’s like wearing heavy neck jewelry). I also don’t think this fools anyone or looks insconspicous like the advertised pictures look.

I’m a p.i. This is a very helpful voice recording device. Wore it as a necklace and put it on a black pendant rope. Really looked great for a more fashionable look. Records clearly.

This would be great if it worked. It worked for 2 whole minutes. Now it won’t charge, connect to the pc or phone nor will it record. Waste of money and time, don’t bother!

Nice easy thing to operate and looks like it’s an actual necklace

The media could not be loaded. As you can hear from the video, it cut me off for a bit at one point. Overall though it sounds pretty good, it recorded fairly well. It generates a WAV file. The data transfer was quick and easy. I added the audio that I recorded from the pendant, holding it in my hands about 6″ away from me, to a video showing the different parts. The switch to start recording with, you need to switch it, see the red light come on, wait for it to flash and turn off, and THEN you can start speaking. Switch it back to turn it off. On the other side of the heart, you pull the rubber piece off the port to connect the provided USB cord. The necklace is stunning and long enough to where you can just pull it over your head to take it on and off. The playback quality is good, not great, but good.
