I purchased this life vest and absolutely love it. I wanted to write this review to help other people with the sizing since the size chart to me was a bit confusing. My daughter has the exact life vest and wears a x-small/small. She is 5’6″ and weighs 135 pounds (chest size 33). I tried my daughters x-small-small on for sizing. I’m 5’8″ and 170 pounds (chest size 41.5) and with all straps fully extended, it fit very snugly.I ordered medium/large for myself (5’8″, 170 pounds, chest size 41.5) It fits me perfectly and comfortably. I have full movement of my arms, I can bend, stretch and move about without a problem. All the straps are 1/2 way extended and I can tighten or loosen them more if needed. I chose NOT to order the Plus size (as the sizing chart suggested) because I would have needed to tighten the straps fully in order for it to fit. I didn’t want the long straps hanging off the life vest and in my way. I hope this review is helpful.
Keeping It Real –
Once the kids moved out, me & the hubs got pedal Hobie kayaks. So it was time to double down & buy a pfd that fits me & stop wearing the ill fitting, generic made for men ones from the past. It’s important to note, I am a size 16- 18, C cup woman, so pfd’s from the past always flattened the girls & were uncomfortable to say the least. I went on an Amazon quest to fix that problem. Which brings us to this life jacket. It has truly been a game changer! Finally a pfd that fits a real woman! I love the way it hugs my body without actually hurting. I love the front pockets. The only improvement I would make to it is add a few tabs for attachments such as an emergency whistle or etc.

This was the only women’s PFD I could find that actually fits petite women in the smallest size. On the life vest itself it says it goes down to a 28 inch chest, which I believe. The back padded section also doesn’t ride up and puff out weirdly as it did with other kayaking life vests. Had no problems paddling with this for 2 hours yesterday; highly recommend!

Great quality construction; super comfortable to wear—well designed for ease of paddling. Love the color and ease of fine tuning the fit. My only complaint is that it didn’t come with a whistle and has no hook to hang it up on a hook, which often comes in handy.

Paddling requires a certain type of vest other wise you won’t wear it, and then, what’s the point. These are designed from the ground up for that activity. My wife has tried several vests, but hasn’t found one that didn’t ride up. I like my Stohlquist, so I convinced her to try this Cruiser. She loves everything about it.
